I'm having trouble sorting through all of the hype and all of the test drive gripes. These questions are for real owners with a new R2.

1. Did your R2 arrive with Rivian Assistant, and does it appear to be functional? Have you tried any voice commands? Did they work?

2. Once you pair your phone, have you been able to send and receive texts hand free?

3. There has been a lot of hype about what features the R2 will have and a lot of griping about what functionality was promised and not delivered. Now that you actually have a vehicle in your possession, what functionality is missing that affects daily use.

4. Is there any functionality that really stands out as great to have?

Thanks, RickS WA

😅 I'm the wrong owner to be answering your questions because I do not use the assistance or text features. I never used them in my R1 & R2. I just drive.

There is no voice assistance right now (software update).

I think you'll love the vehicle. It's very solid. But there are some cost-cutting features that you will have to get used to. I know everyone wants everything for the price.

Looking for a million-dollar home. My budget is $350,000. 😁

Once again... way too soon to be crowd sourcing data/info. Majority of owners at this early stage are employees. And they keep to themselves (for expected/usual reasons).

To answer your first two questions, they currently are only available on R1, so current R2 owners won't be able to help you there.

Eventually the two OSes will be merged and effectively the same.

This might help understand key things currently missing. Pet mode missing as well but not listed in that article.
