I'm new to all this. I installed adventure pilot (2026.006.000) and have xnor's extreme dev harness on a comma 4. It doesn't seem much better than the stock open pilot. Is there something I'm missing? I don't see any angle-based options in sunnylink anywhere.

Stock AdventurePilot does not support angle-based steering. You'll need the angle-based branch of AdventurePilot which is:

adventurepilotdev/stg-a

Just be aware that stg-a is a little bit out of date right now and does not include the latest cooperative angle-steering changes Lukas has made on his Xnor branch. Hopefully it's brought up to date soon.

That was it! Thanks! Yeah, I see what you mean about cooperative angle-steering changes. It seems like its fighting me sometimes.

Yeah it's a bit better on xnor and we're continuing to refine it. It's a totally different beast than torque based coop steering and required a completely different approach.

hi all! The new branch structure is live and ready to go (but do please let me know if you run into any issues!) The following branches will be decommissioned at the end of the month (note for comma 4 users: please update to the latest version of these branches so that you can use the branch picker we added to the developer menu for comma 4):
  • ap-dev
  • ap-staging
The new branches: dev, stg, and rel dev replaces ap-dev (essentially just a rename). This branch will be getting nightly updates from upstream and will have new features added to it first; flip side is that it might introduce bugs etc. stg is a prebuilt branch that replaces ap-staging and will periodically be updated with new features from dev. rel is a prebuilt branch that will be our least-commonly updated branch but most stable. In addition, we now support the xnor extreme angle harness on the stg-a branch, a prebuilt branch. We do not have an angle branch for dev or rel yet. Note that stg-a is an experimental branch so there may be hiccups. As usual, please let us know if you run into any issues. Thanks!
Is the only way to engage MADS on Adventurepilot the brake? I can’t flip the stalk up anymore ??

Stalk up once disengages, stalk up again will enage MADS.

Rivian Enhanced MADS Instructions - AdventurePilot
This never worked for me (below). Only the brake and then stalk up works. But AdventurePilot feels way more confident on the road.

Disengage
Tapping (or holding) the brake pedal disengages ACC and MADS.

To engage MADS use the stalk tap up action (i.e. not past the detent) from either ACC or disengaged.”
