My OEM Scorpions have almost 40,000 miles on them, and still 7/32 left. Consider that maybe your problem is your vehicle or your driving, not your tires.
If it were only me saying that, sure. But I’m not the only owner saying it.

Still think Launch Green is the best color Rivian has come up with. Catalina Cove is a great new color. Half Moon Grey is meh. Everyone always like white so that will sell well. Borealis looks good on screen and in a showroom but doubt that will have many actual takers. Probably will sell about as much as Compass Yellow. I'm bummed they didn't bring back Red Canyon, or any red. I think it would have looked awesome on the R2. Maybe they are saying a red variant for the Tri-motor.

Problem is, there are lots of things that can cause *abnormal* tire wear. Alignment for one, which is more problematic with Rivians than many other vehicles. Abnormal tire wear is normally how you spot a problem with a vehicle.

On the other hand, there is pretty much nothing that can be done to cause *normal* tire wear like I see on my vehicle. So either I received some magical set of tires that don't wear, or the people experiencing problems have mechanical issues or driving habits that promote wear. Or even defective tires, but I consider that less likely.

I'm not the only owner saying this either ... lots of people are reporting *normal* tire wear with the OEM Scorpions.

I’m disappointed there’s not a single bright-ish color in the palette. Why does every manufacturer have 5 shades of grey and then lack a true color? At least they have a couple of unique colors (the teal, LG, and Purple) but wish there would be a fun color like yellow or orange or even Rivian Blue.
Because that’s what people buy, we say we love Compass or Canyon Red … but numbers speak for themselves. I really wish I would have gone Launch Green or Rivian Blue after living with Limestone for 3+ years. Hopefully fix that with the R2!

Every time I see Canyon Red I say out loud “damn, I shoulda got that red one”. But I’m more in love with Forest Edge interior, so I had to pick something that didn’t clash.

I am only getting a performance model because that's the only model Borealis is on. Terrible financial decision on my part (then again 4k cheaper for premium isn't much over a couple years), but hey, I only live once and plan to keep it for 10 years.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

I think Jeff Hammoud hinted at some limited color runs in the future. Hopefully a red and a yellow will make an appearance at some point.

I just watched an Out of Spec video from SXSW and they said that many of the paint jobs have metallic flake in them, except for the Glacier White. Seeing them in person is quite different from pics and vids. Can’t wait to see one in person.

You can see it really well on the Black and the Borealis in RivianTracker's video of all the colors that were on site.

Very cool. I think that’s what makes Rivian’s paint jobs unique. I don’t know if you can replicate that with a wrap.

Yeah I know, but I'm still disappointed nonetheless HAHA....I know I am quite in the minority as a big fan of yellow, orange, and bright reds.

I wonder when Half Moon Grey will be added to the R1S configurator (makes sense now why El Cap went away)
