Before I reset our user profiles I thought I'd check if anyone has an easier fix. Many of the songs on the built in Apple Music app simply won't play. Seems to be a common problem going back a couple of years. Spotify works perfectly.

All my Apple Music songs play without a problem.

I regularly (every month or two) have to logout of Apple Music and log in again to clear various issues. I’ve not encountered your specific issue but it’s worth trying. Donā€˜t worry, after about a dozen times it’s gets pretty easy to do. :)

no issue with apple music on my gen 2. SiriusXM is my problem child, so I’ve been using apple music more these days.

did you try a soft reset of the infotainement system?

Soft reset didn't work. Going to try hard reset before I start deleting profiles. This is frustrating.

Turned off Spatial Audio on the Apple Music setting on the R1S and it works fine now. If I turn Spatial Audio back on problem reappears within a minute or so. Also, I don't see the ATMOS indication on the player like we did briefly last night.

Oh well. Apple Music doesn't allow switching between devices which is a bigger problem for using my Sonos equipment at home.

Apple Music isn't very "Apple".

I have the same issue. Apple music won't work if Spatial Audio is enabled. My issue appeared after they replaced my AXM module. Before that, Apple Music worked perfectly.

Apple music still sucks on the Rivian. I’ve had so many issues I’ve given up on it and have gone back to using my phone as the music source. If Rivian can’t get this simple music client working, they should let Apple do the heavy lifting and give us Carplay. I can’t believe I’m paying extra for this crap.
