get yourself a used r1t. the price has already gone through the spike of depreciation and you can still find fairly priced used ones in the market.
just do your best to choose one that is low in miles but high in tire tread as much as possible. i honestly shouldve thought of not just the low miles but the tire tread when i bought mine! i got probably a good like 2k miles left on the current tires before they start turning into drag slicks. that 50k mile warranty is great at covering the cost of fixing common issues like the half shafts.
the new ones don't really have THAT much more in terms of life-changing tech and features. it's still the same truck with some upgrades here and there, but the common issues they have is still the same (in a way hah) they look the same, one may drive more comfortable than the other.
used rivians keep their value well. when i was browsing for rivians, it's ridiculous how there's a bunch of $52k used r1s with 110k miles lol. i was looking into my used r1t's brand new price and it was about $80k before taxes and $1.8k in delivery. I definitely did NOT get my used truck at that price.
i hope you find the right option for you and best of luck!
