  1. MAX PACK Dual Motor Performance is delivering!

Also on FB, someone reported that there are several DM Max Packs in the R1 Shop.
  2. No OTA for tire size changes

I was told something similar months ago. I was switching to 21's from 20's and the SC did not make the change when it was in (for a different issue that also was not resolved). They said they had to contact the mother ship and that it would come OTA. And that someone would call me to follow...
  3. California 2023 R1T Midnight & Black Ash, Adventure Package, Dark 20" A/T's

About 10,000 miles, I'm still driving it. Entire Matte Expel PPF - light PPF smoke on the headlights and taillights Ceramic window tint Includes a set of standard 21's with a lot of tread left. Most of the pics below show the 21's but the truck currently has the 20's on it as shown in the pic...
  4. Touch Up Paint - Does it match?

Yep. The vehicle has a basecoat/clearcoat paint job on it. And all colors that are BC/CC from the factory we only offer as BC/CC. It makes a difference in the color as well as the durability of the paint, whether being the factory paint job or touch up.
  5. Touch Up Paint - Does it match?

The link I sent you is the www.touchupdirect.com website and my post was regarding the TouchUpDirect Color Match Guarantee. We have nothing to do with the Rivian branded touch up paint.👍
  6. Touch Up Paint - Does it match?

https://touchupdirect.com/touch-up-paint/rivian/r1t#pf-year=2023&pf-color=215009 Full disclosure, I'm very much tied to this company. I can tell you that we've sold Launch Green more than 30 times and have not received any color match issues. I can also tell you that there's a Color Match...
  7. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

If the buckle is oriented to on side or the other of the downtube, and not dead center on top, it will stay tight. The video makes it seem much worse than it is. However, as I mentioned in the previous post, there is still a problem.
  8. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

I watched the reddit video again and see that he is getting a replacement sent. It's not going to help. The video shows an exaggerated version of what I experienced. If you leave the buckle directly on top of the downtime, it places the straps in a position that allow it to immediately...
  9. Rivian R1T tailgate pad installed review: it's a winner (with a caveat)

Yep, that's the experience I had with the pad this weekend. The bike loosens up and falls over in the truck. I've tried a few different things now and gotten it better and it takes time to loosen so I'm still testing it out. But so far, I'm not in love. The bike has a lot of leverage once...
  10. Forum Conduct: Where has the common courtesy gone? [Read before posting!]

Absolutely agree with this. Unfortunately the conversation does often go to what @NY_Rob described. There's not a lot of critical thinking involved in any of those types of answers. Elon is polarizing and a powerful figure, we're all entitled to our opinions of him and Tesla.
  11. Forum Conduct: Where has the common courtesy gone? [Read before posting!]

Nah, not just you. Try bringing up Elon Musk or Tesla in anything other than an extremely negative way. You’ll soon be told why you suck. That’s just one example. People hide behind keyboards and let show their true biases, all the while reveling in righteousness. It’s beautiful.
  12. Cybertruck vs R1T Spotted on Street -- First Size Comparison

I find it humorous that there are people still doubting if it’s coming. No, we do not know the specs. But it’s not exactly like Tesla is ever forthcoming with any info they don’t want to divulge. The fact is, there are people that want the info, but Tesla does not owe any of us a damn bit of it...
  13. Cybertruck vs R1T Spotted on Street -- First Size Comparison

Wait, wait, wait….are we still wondering if the CT is actually coming yet???? 🤣🤣🤣. You guys kill me!

  15. Rivians built with CCS charge ports will get free NACS adapter, with additional adapters available in the Gear Shop

I understand the timelines stated. But there is no mention of an adaptor that goes CCS to NACS, which is what would be needed for any vehicle to charge at a RAN after the NACS switch. Perhaps Rivian will immediately begin building RAN's with NACS and let the adaptors do all the adapting work...
  16. Rivians built with CCS charge ports will get free NACS adapter, with additional adapters available in the Gear Shop

This may have been discussed, but I didn't see it. So how are RAN chargers going to work if the trucks are switched exclusively to NACS moving forward? Or is there going to be 2 charging receptacles, NACS and CCS? I can't see Rivian building all these RAN chargers with CCS and then changing...
  17. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

Sure, and that’s all open to debate and time will tell. But when I think of something that is vaporwear, the reason I made my comment, I cannot classify the CT that category. It’s coming. Details and results we’ll see, but it’s coming. So when it’s used as an example of vaporwear, I scratch my...
  18. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

UnfortunatelyI've been to a RAN station that was not working well. One stall down, another putting out 30kW. Equally unfortunate, it's the only one I've been to. I'm not entirely confident the RAN will be much better than other DC brands after some time, but I'm certainly hopeful it will be.
