Snow Mode--still too much regenerative braking

I'd be worried if the rears don't do anything since it's the only axle rated for chains/cables.

Snow Mode--still too much regenerative braking

It would have to be the stability control program

Yes but it only turns off a conglomerate of settings you can adjust elsewhere.

Rivian R1T saves a stuck semi by pulling it out of mud in Covington, KY

I think the receiver is going to be stronger than the hooks and towing backwards is more hazardous. If something lets loose like their hook or bumper it could kill anyone sitting in the front of the rivian. In general using high forces on the coast side of gears is not a good idea. Differentials...

Still wish they would come clean on whether there is a future for a setting(s) that will turn off enough of the car to avoid drain when stored

Snow Mode--still too much regenerative braking

Is low basically like an automatic or manual gearbox car? It's been a long time since I've driven one.

    They're 7000lb trucks, not 2800lb sports cars.

Mine doesn't have conserve just all purpose. All the other AWD vehicles I've owned/own are smart enough to use all the drive axles. The rivian on downhill roads not really. The average person will just drive it and wonder why it slid off the windy road. I've seen people have incidents pretty...

VW sells 10x as many EVs as Rivian. Rivian has a long way to go before it has a chance to compete.

How to keep headlights on when not in vehicle?

Does the headlight control not have an on mode instead of auto? I ran in to the same stupidity trying work at the tailgate and the over head light kept turning off. The car is filled with things like this from people who haven't thought out working, camping and trailering.

    They're 7000lb trucks, not 2800lb sports cars.

Conserve / all purpose is pretty bad in the Twisties. Asking the front wheels to do way to much. It under steers badly in to corners and locks up the front brakes during hard braking. You really know it weighs 7k even though handling is flat and responsive.

At least we are informed about how piss poor the overall efficiency of this vehicle really is. Without a proper off mode for the car, this is never going to get better. Even shipping mode does nothing and they are completely evasive every time asked. The EPA numbers are effectively a lie in the...
