Yea I consider it a piece of junk compared to watching apple people cast stuff to a tv. Even a Roku works better than a Chromecast. IDK. We'll see. People will want to cast music from a phone or video. They'll want to screen mirror and all the other fabulous stuff casting is supposed to do...

The vehicle runs Android Automotive which also supports Apple casting but the Android side sucks ironically. It's like airdrop that works really well but quick share is flakey on Android.

They pulled it from the last update (.27). Casting is a flakey proposition on Android so I bet it's giving them fits.

My phone icon disappeared in to the sub menu so I had to drag it kicking and screaming back the front haha. On a good note, the automatic parking camera is a hoot.

Android Auto uses your phone's data. Car play uses your phone's data. Rivian can use your phone's data. Same same. Car play can be just as fiddley to connect with a cable or switch on by pressing buttons so I'm not sure what they are complaining about either.
