They could really use a second service center in the ATL area. My personal preference would be in Roswell/Alpharetta near the Tesla facility (and just about every auto dealer in N. Fulton). I see a lot of Rivians around N. Fulton and East Cobb so there's got to be some demand up here. Or...
Just wanted to jump in and say that because of vacations, holidays, and other stuff going on, I have not been able to touch this thread or the map in a good while. Thank you to @TeamEV for keeping this thing going. Absolutely incredible stuff you're digging up!
I never expected this thing to...
yeah, I'd love to be able to enjoy all of the views along even just a few major scenic highways like the Blue Ridge Parkway without having to pay attention to the road. That feature would have been incredible.
The idea of a self-driving (fully autonomous) adventure vehicle would have a LOT of...
Q5 size is perfect for my wife and me. I had a 2011 Q5 until I traded it in for the R1S. The R1S is great, but it's definitely bigger than we need. If the rear cargo area is similar in size to the Q5 plus a frunk, that'd be amazing.
LG has only now stated publicly that they'll supply batteries for Rivian. That doesn't necessarily mean the deal was just completed. There may have already been a tentative agreement or maybe even signed contract that just wasn't announced publicly until now.
In the hopes of getting my appointment rescheduled to a mobile service, I sent a message through the app, responding to the appointment confirmation I have for mid-December. The local service center's response was that this was a special appointment and they were supply-constrained.
Er... ok...
The coming soon map hasn't been updated in a while, and they definitely seem to have changed to just surprising us. I both dislike and appreciate the approach. It's nice to have an idea of where to expect something "soon", but it never had a lot of predictability anyway. Is "soon" 3 months? 6...
The last software update seems to have rendered my setup nonworking. I have an Anker SD card reader with a microSD card. It’s been working since the drive cam was first available. I noticed this week that it was recording when I honked my horn anymore. Went to the settings, and it shows no drive...
Well, that's annoying. If I'd known it might be possible to get the battery replaced as a "walk-in", I might have taken care of that yesterday because I have a road trip coming up soon. If the 12V fails while I'm in the ATL area, it's not nearly as big of a deal as if it happens while on a trip!
I'm on 2024.39.01.
I'm glad you were able to get a mobile appointment in early November. I'll probably email them to see if I can change my service center appointment in December to a mobile appointment in November. That would be MUCH more convenient.
Yes. After waiting on hold for ~25 minutes, they were able to get me an appointment. However, there were no mobile service appointments available at all, and appointments at the service center weren’t available until December.
I also asked about scheduling a 7500 mile inspection and tire...
I missed a call from Rivian service today, saying they'll do a complimentary 12V replacement. On hold now to schedule an appointment. I'm also due for 7,500 mile tire rotation and inspection. Hoping I can get all that done with mobile service in the same appointment.
I had maybe 1 reboot like this in my first year of ownership. Been having it almost every day since 2 updates back.
I do have an SD card plugged in fro drive cam recording, but that’s been there for a while without issues.
You're right about NEVI. It's a federal grant program to the states who then use the funds for contracts to build chargers. The federal government has no involvement in the selection of companies to build the NEVI-funded chargers other than to set the criteria that has to be used by the state...
Sorry for your loss. Was she a German wirehaired pointer? We had a 13-year old Spinone Italiano who we lost in January.
To keep my post on topic: We used a harness from a company I don't even remember the name of and don't think they still exist. It was not crash tested to anywhere near the...
