So, in continued fun my Porsche dealership screwed up. I haven't leased before and apparently they won't/can't? apply the sales tax credit to a lease. But they had told me previously it would be applied, only now, less than 24 hrs from pickup, do they say oops. Trade in is a no-go.
The car has...
For those that don't know, the R1S originally did offer a 3rd row delete. It was on my pre-order.They removed it quite a while ago before cars were built. I tend to think with the R2, etc.., they won't decide to offer it again.
I do agree it would be very nice. The third row down works but it...
This. Keep in mind some of the people posting in here LOVE their Rivians and would tell you it's amazing if it was literally on fire. And hey, I wish I loved my purchases that much so not a dig but take the "easy as a small suv!" with a big scoop of salt. I had a compact SUV rental while my R1S...
60k would only result in 66k with the tax credit.
But yes, my trade in offer barely makes private sale worth it. It'd just be a shame to see it go to a dealer and get listed at 85.
No cop is pulling you over because your SUV (that they can afford) is brightly colored. Also do you think they won't notice the giant 7k pound vehicle speeding if it's white or black?
Of all the cars I most endorse getting bold with SUV colors. Tone down sportscars, go bold with SUVs.
Nice...
Why would this be illegal? It's a private parking lot, they can dictate terms as they like.
Do you have a disabled tag? That's the only case that would make it illegal, as you'd be guaranteed access to handicap parking.
That's a 2024 and not my car.
It is a WA registered car and I live in WA. I spend a lot of time in BC (love Vancouver!) and had the service done at Vancouver but it's a WA only vehicle.
Yup. I've done these auctions, even with increments on bids people wait until 10s left to bid. It results in situations like this.
As the seller I'd refuse the sale and be willing to lawyer up, or force BaT to kick in cash. There was a 57k bid by a registered bidder, 57k is what the seller...
Really? That's super sketchy.
The car also seems to have had multiple unreported accidents. I wouldn't have touched it without having it inspected first.
The auction sites almost always sell well below market price, FWIW. They tend to be closer to trade in or wholesale than private party values.
Buyer pays fees and shipping, you don't get to see the car in person, etc. It's a risk and prices reflect it.
That's a drastic oversimplification.
The first factor is weather. Rivians are extremely weak to cold weather and you will see 35%+ battery loss at freezing.
2nd is speed. 50ish is ideal. True highway speeds (75-80) will result in another 25%+ loss.
3rd is wind. Rivians are extremely...
I can tell you these service techs are probably insanely busy. He probably punched it in the way he did to save time.
He'll probably now get in trouble for something that didn't affect you, then be sent back running around trying to help people out.
He fixed your problem easily and with zero...
They paid me more for my Taycan than the entire cost of my R1S. Sent me a check for the $6,800. Took about 8 weeks to get the check. I paid $0 at purchase.
This was late August of this year. Gen2 R1S.
If they're being weird about the leasing, I guess, but it really shouldn't be relevant to...
