Suggestions for repair of a minor dent in my gear tunnel door.

Based on my experience with PDR on my Rivian this will be no problem to an experienced pro. They took out some worse dents than this included one that went through a seam on my tailgate. If you want to know if it's all aluminum put a magnet on it. Good luck.

"A mirage take shape Feb 19" - Rivian teasers [for new California Dune color?]

1 day before earnings release, I wouldn't expect any major announcement.

    Knocking during hard acceleration

My truck did this some times before I sold it. Could never recreate it at the service center. I always thought it was something coming from the drive shaft but always happened during hard acceleration/deceleration while turning sharp.

YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

Well I certainly wouldn't expect them to test every single trim of every single model. Companies could obviously cheat the test in a variety of ways but I certainly don't think Rivian is. A company found a way to do that once.. and now we have EA (for better or worse) to thank for it.

YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

These are facts except the last statement. EPA testing is done by the EPA not Rivian. Anyone expecting the TM to have anything more than a marginal range/speed will be disappointed. Now some might have other reasons for upgrading but sounds like you made your decision and seems like a...

YouTube Video: The 2025 Rivian R1T Tri-motor Max Pack Does Its Best With All Terrain Tires! 70-MPH Range Test

289 miles (2.3 mi/kWh) with the original QM on ATs was a fluke. This video shows best that run to run conditions are very important in tests like this. I also don't think 2.1 mi/kWh in a 70 mph range test with AT tires is that bad either.

Keep R1T After Warranty or buy new one

This was an easy decision to me. I had over 60k miles and couldn't even get Rivian to give me an appointment to check some suspension errors and some other recalls. I didn't feel like sitting around waiting for it to break and then be on the hook for an expensive tow charge and repair so I...

    Saying Goodby for now

Just went on a 5,400 mile road trip (OR,WA,ID,MT,ND,MN,WI --> MN,SD,NE,CO,WY,UT,ID,OR) in my new van for the holidays so I wanted to do a quick analysis/comparison to my Rivian with a camper. Assumptions: - My QM Rivian with a camper averaged about 1.6 mi/kWh in the winter (also included using...

Q for owners: does 12V outlet stay on at all times?

Your truck didn't exist, wasn't even dreamed of when I wrote this and also very clearly said it wouldn't close with the 'button' but yeah thanks for calling me out...

I got $47,500. Was asking $49,500 This is of course due to the mileage 65k as you mention but also at least one known suspension issue (bad strut). I also had the extras too, PTC, rock sliders, spare, RUS, off road recovery kit and some other things. The wrap as well was still intact, buyer...

Custom R1T Back Seat Delete with brackets

Hey All. Sold my R1T this week but the buyer didn't have room for the rear seat delete. Basically it has brackets to use the hardware from the lower part of the seat and replace it with a platform. Fee for local pickup in Sandy.

    Saying Goodby for now

I don't have any recent criticism with the folks in Portland or Troutdale Rivian Service centers. The broken back window on Halloween 2023 while at their SC wasn't great but they made it right. Generally they have mostly done a good job at least in my recent experiences.

They seem like a decent option but I haven't done a deep dive. Luckily I don't think I need another vehicle before this summer at the earliest.

    Saying Goodby for now

Ive got plenty of reasons to seek therapy, not sure hating myself is one of them  Maybe I can actually afford some now that I don't need to pay Rivian for repairs.

Honestly not any major issues right now. I did notice a bad strut in the rear while rotating the tires, buyer is aware of the issue. Also have had a safety recall on the books forever. You are probably aware but yes been a number of other suspension issues over the years. 7 air shocks...

    Saying Goodby for now

To replace the camper portion of my Rivian I am working on a van build. I am debating buying a cheap ($<10k) EV for local errands and what not but I'll wait until after the holidays. Longer term I am undecided.

    Saying Goodby for now

I sold the camper to some dude with a 2024 Tacoma a few weeks ago, it didn't really fit but he thought he could make it work. Didn't get a great price but it's out of season and very specific and I wanted it off the truck. Coincidentally I seen the buyer was trying to resell the camper on...

    Saying Goodby for now

Well after 65k miles and over 2.5 years of ownership I sold my launch edition R1T today. Sad to see it go and it's been an adventure. Why I decided to sell: - Service - Service - Service - Cost of ownership of an out of warranty vehicle This isn't a thread to complain about service, some...
