Yes, you can go with a wider mattress with the mid+front installed. I should have taken more interior photos, but unfortunately, I didn’t get them this time around. You can see the third-row armrest area a little better in the promo video at timestamp 5:15. The kit sits just a tad higher than...
Thanks! No plan for the R1T bed but would love to do something with the tunnel!
Edited: Actually, the bed might make more sense. We might consider this over the tunnel!
Personally, I'm using the DreamCase mattress for the Tesla Model Y since I already have it, and it's about 3 inches thick. However, if you want the most covered surface area, the Exped Megamat Duo LW+ is perfect, as it's large enough to extend over the 3rd-row armrest area as well!
Hey Chris! The system stands at a height of 7.6 inches. If you already find the Exped too high for your liking, then it'll definitely be too tall with the kit. It's best suited for those who prioritize convenience and use the bed solely for sleeping, especially after a long adventure :)
Thank you so much! It's really cool to see that you're local too, and you're more than welcome to check out the system in person if you'd like! That's a good idea; I'll take into consideration including an installation video in addition to the assembly manual that we'll be shipping with...
Hey Rivian adventurers!
I wanted to share with y'all a recent trip we took with a group of 8 friends up here in Chilliwack, British Columbia. We had a total of 3 cars for the trip: 2 Teslas and 1 Rivian. It was a short weekend getaway, and we wanted to go somewhere a little remote. Luckily, we...
The height of the system is 7.6 inches, just slightly lower than the tailgate! Yes, the air compressor line can be accessed through the gap of the system latching points when the drawer is opened::
Absolutely! The system is divided into three sections: you can have just the kitchen, or the kitchen plus the mid section (third row folded), or you can have the kitchen, mid, and front sections (third and second rows both folded). Here's a pic with the third row up!
The left and right can't qutie be alternated since the covers have a small cutout for the taillight clearance. But for sure, just some screws and they're ready to go!
Hey Rivian adventurers!
It's Jimmy from Fruble. I'm so excited to share with you the new camping system we're introducing today for the Rivian R1S!
One year ago, we launched the complete Tesla Camper Kit for the Model Y because we couldn't find any traditional camp kitchens on the market that...

Thanks, Dan! Reusing the panels was a must while working on these two new kits. I didn't want them to go to waste or just sit in the garage, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!
This is such an awesome idea, Kevin! You know what? We'll implement the cutouts for the sink and cutting board as a future accessory mod. However, for now, in order to keep the cost low and maintain a sweet price point, we'll keep them as they are.😃
