I couldn't agree with this more! Not only for Rivian but for all EVs. I want to see American EV tech be at the forefront and on our roads in 10-20 years. Being built by Americans and fueled by American energy (not imported fuel from other countries). I can't think of anything more "America...
Your very welcome. I am very passionate about EV charging safety. The one on the NeoCharge site is a Hubbell which is a good choice. Leviton and Bryant I believe also make EV specific 14-50 as well.
Please remember to check the wiring from the outlet to your breaker panel. Make sure its #6...
This setup is probably fine for temporary use or use once in a while but I wouldn't feel confident for anything more.
I always recommend folks have a licensed electrician install a hard-wired charger for any permanent home/work charging setup. The plugs/receptacles are convenient but are an...
Part of the reason for the defaults I think is for when your preconditioning the car in heat mode. The logic on the part of Rivian ...I am guessing...is that the floor and windshield will both heat the cabin and help melt off any ice/snow so the windshield can be more easily cleared.
Rivian...
This is my interpretation as well. A series hybrid is not on the roadmap for Rivian and since they have partnered with VW on the Scout brand (who plans to produce a series hybrid) I seriously doubt...they would do this.
If they did, I would expect a smaller battery...at least in R1S to account...
I second the suggestion for a reset. Also, might want to run the calibration as well. Lastly, if its doing this with the easy entry/exit setting off I would try turning that setting back on for a day or two then toggle it back to the off position.
Another thing to check is if you have an...
I am really sorry to read this. Is everyone ok? Cars can be fixedā¦people are a little more difficult.
The recent gen2 dual max demo I had did not switch to low regen when I put it in snow mode! I was surprised because my gen1 would switch that setting automatically.
To anyone else reading I...
My guess is that they announce some new colors and possibly launch config for the new Quad. Image could be referring to the new "Dune" color. Have also seen a purple color posted online as well.
The quad and new colors should be another demand trigger Rivian can pull ....I can't wait to test...
My interpretation of it is you get a total of 36 months worth of free charging then no more. So that is 6 referrals. After 6 referrals no more free charging and you only get points (unless Rivian updates the terms in the future which they can certainly do).
So 3 years from when you got your...
Colder temps likely affected range too.
with large battery on Gen 1 you have 131 kWh usable. So if you get 1.0 mi per kWh thatās 131 miles from 100% to 0. But as most of you know you donāt typically do that on a road trip typically youāre stopping when you get to 10% and your only charging to...
nice...have a pic of what your towing? That's about in line with what I see on R1T and R1S towing a travel trailer (worst case scenario). I see between 1.0 and 1.2.

36 months according to this paragraph
Validity: Charging Rewards are valid for six (6) months from the grant date. The maximum lifetime benefit for any Referrer is thirty-six (36) months of charging on the Rivian Adventure Network. When additional Charging...
Unfortunately these folks are correct. For pre price hike reservation holders Rivian switched to a voucher system. When they did this, only inventory vehicles could be purchased at the lower pricing using the āvoucherā. The vouchers expired in Sept of 24.
There is no way to get the early...
š± I ran my R1T down to 0% and 0 miles displayed. Barely had enough power to keep moving. The Rivian app told me that if the truck stops to call roadside assistance.
10% leaves you enough buffer in case of a non working charger. Running it below 10% regularly could negatively impact the...
š stupid iPhone auto correct. Heat pump turned into meat pump? Is there any such thing?
my dad was a meat cutters apprentice back in the 1960s! He was not a sausage maker ā¦thatās an art all to itself. No meat jokes folks š
If Rivian is going to eventually open up to all EVās, they have to charge market rates for the charging. Also, itās very difficult to charge a set price across the board because they may have demand pricing and certain locations at certain times..
I would expect Rivian when they open it up to...
It might depend on location but I know here in MD they were doing proactive 12v replacements via mobile service.
this doesnāt sound right that Rivian would leave you with a brick truck for two weeks.
Perhaps there was a miscommunication, and Rivian is not aware of the vehicle is totally down...
