My wife had a similar episode recently. I had to give her the explicit instructions to go ~60 and to drop it into conserve mode. She was surprised to learn that speed affects range
Of course, the next week her R1S leaked fluid and had to have the rear drive unit replaced (which...
It kind of bugged me on the R1S but while mine is in the service center and I'm driving the Wagoneer rental, it's completely unusable in the rain. So, R1S has one over on the Jeep!
I'm in the same boat and did the same thing. I'll prob still get the R2 but I like options. Maybe I can convince my wife to drive it and ditch the R1S and I get the Scout.
Closing this out and thanks to you fine people, it's resolved much quicker than expected. I called Service and explained the situation, they then prioritized me and dispatched a mobile service truck for the next day.
Von from the South San Francisco SC arrived on time and completed the task in...
That's my current thought. How is this sustainable for Rivian? It's a battery, people have been swapping those out themselves for decades after a visit to AutoZone. Why does this need to be a multiple thousand dollar expense to Rivian and my own personal time?
I've had nothing but a pleasant experience with mine for 15 months so this is my service experience, though I've seen all the posts about others' not so great times with SC's. This feels like a silly thing to clog up a Service Center with, especially one that will take a few days, cause them to...
Received a popup in the vehicle and app last night to replace 12V battery immediately. Got on the horn with service but there are no mobile appointments until the end of the year. They're trying to find me a slot at my "local" Service Center but no idea how long that will be.
I've replaced...
My R1S makes clicking noises for the first 5 minutes of every drive as the suspension makes minor adjustments. It does more when I put it in park. It has since I bought it 15 months ago and I've just gotten used to it. Seems totally normal, I've never had an issue.
I've only used the portable charger on 110v for 15 months at home + the occasional L2 charge at work before a trip. It's worked fine to get 30-40 miles charge a night but now that we drive an extra 30 miles a day for my daughter's new volleyball club I need to dust off the Rivian charger box and...
I'm in a Gen 1 R1S so I can't speak to the Gen 2 audio but I can't imagine how badly this stereo would suck without the subwoofer. The update that gave Dolby Atmos was a dramatic improvement but I haven't heard how it affected Gen 2's with standard audio. Unless you plan to upgrade the stereo...
This is my only beef with this new Connect+ plan. I'll pay the $12/month to stream Spotify vs. connect with Bluetooth with noticeably diminished audio quality (for an already sub-standard sound system) but starting the trial before I have the update feels dirty.
I've found this to be my preference, too. Especially because the last 20% of the charge feels like it crawls by as the speed slows down. Every 2 hours or so, get a 20 minute fast charge. Keep the blood flowing, stiffness out of the old legs, and avoids range anxiety.
