I updated the prior comment. My gues is the generator has a 240v outlet. You can charge the rivian from the generator until you get an outlet installed in the garage. That cord allows you to power your house from your generator.

LOL - and what are you going to plug it into? You need a 240v outlet at your house. You can plug into a 120v outlet, but it will charge at about 3 miles an hour. 240 will charge at about 16 miles per hour. Rivian Charger will charge at about 27 miles per hour. If you don't have a 240v outlet...

LOL. How far is the outlet from where the vehicle parks? If you need an extension cord, just make sure it has the right plug.

is there not a mobile charger in the front trunk? Rivian Portable Charger - Gear Shop - Rivian Mine has a 120 and a 240 mobile charger plug. Simple attach the 240 plug to your mobile charger. Plug one end into the wall, plug the other end into the Rivian charge port.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I’m not understanding when you use this. Is it for people that don’t plug the Rivian in nightly? if it’s plugged in nightly the main battery is always topped off. And it can wake up and charge the 12v.

Thanks. I get it. You have cost of revenue. You choose to take some numbers out of revenue. What are you taking out of cost of revenue? Everyone is using napkin math to come up with cost of a vehicle. I’m glad they show a profit. I’m in no way trying to estimate cost per vehicle.

You may be right. I have never seen published cost of goods sold. I have only seen napkin math say they lose x per vehicle.

What is included in per vehicle profit? I have never seen it published. I have seen people take total revenue divided by number of vehicles. Have you seen differently.
