Surely there is a middle point between the severely deficient attention span of a vertical video and a feature length movie? Personally not complaining, I will nerd out right along beside you.
Interesting observation that I haven't seen. Specifically discussed. Started a drive with ambient air in low 40s and no HVAC. About an hour in, it got chilly so I turned the HVAC on and set to 72°. Within the next 15 minutes, front motor temp dropped from 123° to the low '90s, and still...
Maybe.... Extrapolating out the standard battery pack EPA estimates, the 20 "A/S" OEM gets you 390-395 miles of range when applied to the maxpack on R1S.
Now. Could those numbers be wrong? Of course. I still refuse to believe there isn't a 20" AS that blows by the 22" OEM AS by 6%. O think we...
Id just like to add that the mobile eye system, for it's intended feature set, is pretty solid. We get into problems when we try to make it do something it wasn't intended to do.
Because you all lost your minds when they gave us battery health. Can you imagine the insanity if people saw temps in the 130's+???
MaH bAtTeRY iS dEgRaDiNg!!!
I mean, if we are playing that game.... My 2016 Model S with original Mobile-eye platform can do more than any current Rivian.....
And if you jam an orange into the steering wheel, it becomes upgraded to Level 3.
Not sure if this is new news. Gear shop claims 6.8% range improvement of 20" AS OEM over 20" AT OEM. On the max pack, this is 395 miles of range. So that tells me there is still a holy grail of an actual 20" AS tire out there that can do better than the 22" OEM of 410, at the expense of off-road...
Both Chief. But to suggest that a company that's hung their hat on an all-electric drivetrain since day 1 should throw a Honda generator into the frunk is beyond moronic. The hybrid Dodge Ram is waiting for you....
Interesting, because I was thinking I'd need to get the 20" pirelli AS in the 115 to have a tire that matched the 22" AS for gen2. Do you think they are sandbagging the efficiency for the Goodyear OEM tires? I did the math a while ago on the range hit with the goodyears based on the range...
