What year/spec R1T is this from? I've never noticed battery temperature exposed anywhere...only cabin temperature ?
EDIT: Looks like maybe this is a ABRP exclusive integration, and/or only visible when the vehicle is "running".
Battery capacity values returned from the Rivian API that is reported by ElectraFi and ABRP are highly temperature dependent as of the last 4 months of so. Mine fluctuates between 120 and 130kWh. If we're sharing these numbers, it's probably best to check with a warm battery, right after an...
I hope the R3 has battery shielding like the R1! The Ioniq 5 is amazing car, and road trip vehicle because it's super fast charging, but I'm afraid to take mine on anything more "off road" than mild gravel. There's been a few stories of impacted battery compartments leading to very expensive...
Oh, that reminds me of another fun bug/behavior: I have PaaK proximity unlock disabled at home, so pull out my phone to manually unlock. If you first enable climate from the app, the lock/unlock buttons become grayed out...sometimes for a surprisingly long time (like 5 min). So I ended up...
That's certainly not always the case. My R1S sometimes randomly decides to blow cold air at me. Turning things on/off seems to fix the issues.
I've also had vents randomly stop responding until the HVAC is restarted.
Please Rivian, focus on fixing these software bugs...
Sounds like a very similar suspension setup to Rivian: no swaybar with hydraulic interlink. Land Rover makes similar claims about the range of capabilities from being good both on road and off road.

There's a few threads on this, here and on Reddit, and I'm not sure we've gotten an official response from Rivian, but it seems that the last update has changed the algorithm for calculating the battery capacity to take temperature into account. The metric is visible in ElectraFi and Home...
With your proximity to the US border, you should consider shipping to WA and picking up/importing yourself. You'll likely have to pay tax + duty when crossing the border on the return, but at least you won't be ripped off by UPS and their extra fees. As a bonus, there's often free shipping...
I ended up test-fitting the rack at a local bike shop with my mountain bike and it worked great! Handlebars on my large 29er easily clear the roof.
My only complaint is with Rivian's software disabling a bunch of feature when anything is plugged into the trailer plug. This includes blind spot...
Any owners have thoughts on the very poor snow performance test results here?
I'm sure the testing wasn't entirely scientific, but that significant a difference is crazy.
What is your reported battery capacity? Me and others have noticed this has dropped since the update (and seems to fluctuate a bit now), and it's inversely related to the reported SOC. Maybe that's related and messing with vampire drain numbers.
My VD is down slightly, from 1.8 to 1.6kWh per 24...
I'm still waiting for the update. Is it possible to connect to a wifi network and use the Chromecast feature? My phone's reception and speed seems to be much faster than the Rivian's, and I'm hoping to be able to just tether off of that.
This is a great one to call out. Of course it depends on what you do in the app, but simply opening it it seems to only access cloud services, just like ElectraFi or similar, which have zero impact to your vehicle sleep state.
I can't see Electrify America stations from the Canadian app, so I assume the inverse is also true.
Electrify Canada stations that I've seen all have normal CC readers, though I've heard reports the readers don't work sometimes, making the app a necessity.
A tip for anyone visiting BC, the BC...
All the fanboy whiners that couldn't take some criticism have an apology to make ?
Kyle, please complain about your gen 1 some more. I'd love for some charging improvements there too! (Though I will say I'm actually impressed how great Rivian has been on keeping gen 1 features coming)
They seem generally pretty busy. I purchased an adapter from them a week ago, and it hasn't shipped (and I'm in Canada).
There's also the issue of Canada Post being on strike for the last month or so, and other shipping companies overwhelmed, plus BFCM, plus holidays....I'm going to cut them...
"allege" being the key word ;)
Gen 1 trip computer estimates seem to be conservative (accurate on highway drives!), while Gen 2 EPA ratings have very suspicious gains. I'd be really curious about some side-by-side gen 1 vs gen 2 testing about actual real-world efficiency gains @OutofSpecKyle
