LOL, funny timing. I was thinking of making a post about this today also. Got this last night. Who knew that if the temperature is perfect, and the wind direction is just right, I can coast almost all the way from the interstate off ramp, through the McDonalds drive-through, and halfway home...
Hello, I'm back again with another dumb question. Bullet point #5 on the list on the right: "Open the Vehicle tab, and choose Location":
But you can see in the Vehicle tab, there are menu options for "Display and Lighting", "Access", "Driver Assistance", "Units", "Updates", and "Service"...
Great write-up! Needs photos, LOL.
One dumb question: Do you need to do the 9V battery thing? Probably showing my age, but none of my other vehicles had electronic brakes. You could just open the reservoir cap or bleeder and crank the piston in with a clamp. Guessing that wouldn't work here...
Subscriber. Got the update last night. Installed fast! I have no interest in the tilt mirrors or changing my tires at this time. I clicked on them briefly just to look. What I'd like to see (as far as tires) is being able to manually put in a size. It looks like it just lets you pick from...
Saw a Fisker driving down I66 outside DC earlier today. They were zipping along in the big $$$ express lanes (and I wasn't), otherwise I might've chased them down and asked what they thought about this deal. Which of you was it? There can't be that many Fisker drivers left. ?
On one of my old Chevy's I ran an extra wire so I could manually turn on high beams, low beams, and fog lights all at once. I thought it was the "bee's knees" way back when I did it. Other drivers who might've seen me with them all on probably thought I was an a*hole. ?
Then I got my Rivian...
This always seemed interesting to me. At two years, mine still feels like a brand new car. Absolutely zero interest in trading. I've always kept everything I owned for much longer than that. Why start all over again with a new payment, etc.?
That said, they also no longer make Forest Edge...
Two years since delivery. Zero days away. I took it in for service a couple times. Once to have a piece of factory PPF replaced that had pollen trapped under it from the factory, and once for an alignment (after getting front tires replaced by mobile service due to a puncture). They asked if...
No, I know the exterior cameras - they're like 720p or whatever. But the little camera inside the vehicle - the driver-facing one in 1st gen vehicles - thought I remember someone saying that thing had the resolution of a potato and that's why they disabled it... LOL. ?
Someone remind me, but wasn't part of the issue was the Gen1 camera was something like 240p resolution? It couldn't make out your eyes on your face even in the best lighting, if you were wearing glasses, etc.
Working fine here. I agree - clear cache, reboot phone, or uninstall & reinstall app. They did just push the latest mobile software update yesterday so maybe an issue on your device?
Sorry for the dumb question or if this has been answered already, but how exactly does this connect to the Rivian? Is it just a camera that mounts to the windshield, and a wire to the OBDII port? And the rest is done in software?
