  1. Issues with Michelin Defender LTX MS/2

There is one final balancing option it is usually used on very large tires. A small packet of balancing beads are injected into the tire thru the air valve. It becomes a dynamic balance as the beads move to where they are needed as the tire rotates. Sounds strange but really works.
  2. Am I the only Connect+ subscriber who didn't get the update?

I don’t have it yet either. I usually receive the notification to install three weeks after the start the downloads.
  3. A Tale of Two Windshield Replacements - Service Center vs. Safelite

Would agree in the Rivian shop they have special alignment targets they set up and calibrate to.
  4. “Contact Us” now missing in App.

Correct I can access chat on my iPhone this way after the update
  5. When will R2 ordering begin?

Last reservation number I saw was in the 70,000 range but with only $100 reservation it is likely there will be a fair amount of cancellations when we get to the actual order time
  6. Reasonable price for scratch and dent repair

Fully agree. Now with that said getting behind a damaged panel to make a pdr repair can be challenging. If that is one of the aluminum panels it makes it that much more challenging As other have stated maybe first try a touch up paint pen and see how it looks.
  7. Reminder: Rivian Promised Level 3 "Eyes Off the Road" Autonomy on Gen 1

Several comments have been made that while Tesla self driving isn’t perfect Tesla is at least 10 years ahead of all other EV manufacturers in their software development. Not an issue just the way it is. Remember Tesla built their own supercomputer to be able to design the self driving system. It...
  8. Cdn coming into US - any issues with EV haters at chargers etc thus far?

Agree. Pretty much park a Rivian anywhere safely. If you own a Tesla better to keep it garaged
  9. When will R2 ordering begin?

Absolutely we have seen this with the other EV company on the first units off the line
  10. When will R2 ordering begin?

Very little info as to options available to date. I would not expect to see first delivery until mid/late 2026. Original plan was to have production ready early 2026. No way to rush the process. Hoping they stay with original plan to give current Rivian owners priority delivery
  11. Speedo screen reconfig

Still would like to see date and temp in front of me.
  12. OBD2 on Gen2 R1T

Standard obd2 connector but only supplies power and data connection for pc to run Rivian specific diagnostic software.
  13. New Bill in Senate to Kill EV Tax Credit + $1000 tax on every new EV

I would prefer tax based upon actual miles driven. Many EV’s report their mileage automatically and for ICE vehicles take the mileage at the yearly emmisions testing in states that require it. All others would have to report mileage possibly with income tax forms
  14. Brake rotors wearing quesiton

FYI the front calipers are a bolted design ( at least on gen1 trucks they do not slide on pins) but have 6 individual pistons. Racing style Brembo brake system
  15. R1T suspension stuck on High and stuck on OffRoad

Can you get into a heated garage for a few hours possibly a solenoid valve has frozen up.
  16. Can you Lemon a car for poor alignment?-UPDATE-They are changing the subframe to a GEN 2 with an added bonus. Update 2: Alignment is worse

Many lemon laws state the issue will be substantial enough to keep you from driving ( receiving enjoyment or using safely) the vehicle or would affect aftermarket value. Yours may fit the intent of the Lemon Laws in many states. Good luck
  17. L2 charger down to 2.7kwh at 24F.. Should I be worried?

Agree not normal. Give Tesla charging support a call at 877-961-7652. If your Tesla wall connector is connected to WiFi they can assist with a fix. Had to do this with my R1t initially. Really helpful group
  18. Beware, Beware the 12V Battery Warranty (Also positive Eastvale CA service center visit)

And you could be subject to Rivian voiding any remaining warranty when you add non OEM parts and those parts damage other circuitry on the vehicle
