I was searching around for something and opened the Rivian's Owner Manual and immediately what caught my eye was that it DOUBLED in pages from the last time I have opened it (at least for the 2022-2024 models)
https://rivian.com/support/article/r1t-owners-guide -> version 2024.51 and it says...
My NOCO Boost X GBX75 booster was only able to power my R1T enough for me to unlock the doors (I needed to retrieve my laptop from it so I could work!) when connected to the trailer hitch. I've heard from other forum members that when connected directly to the 12V battery, it should "barely"...
Mine wasn't that bad. It will be 90 today around here and the truck is now parked outside and should still be OK, but again, my rattle wasn't THAT much
It's a PITA :) I did those two places with 1/2 tape each as said. So far so good... We'll see when Texas summer arrives if it needs more or that's OK.
I should say that my grill rattle wasn't THAT loud.
You won't see it in a picture as I pushed it underneath the grill with the plastic trim tools (mine are Orange, not yellow as the OP's :P ), but basically, I cut two pieces about 1/2 inch each and stuck them with the adhesive UPWARDS in-between the grill and the trim.
Here you'll see where I...
FYI, my G1 it's not doing this!
After seeing your post on the other thread, I let it sleep last night and tried the voltage (I have the leads in the frunk directly wired to the battery for my maintenance purposes) and it was reading the normal 12.6V
I had the same rattle but I fixed it adding felt tape practically using the same method, but I thought that since it has adhesive, it will hold a bit better.
Nevertheless, the rattle is gone.
Keep ua posted as I think this was 100% a bug (an unfortunate one!).
Shipping mode should still allow you to view your vehicle online on the app,, BTW. I just came back from a 7 day trip and my R1T lost around 2.5% battery SoC while parked in my garage in shipping mode against the 'regular'...
I've heard of people just getting unlocks if standing nearby their trucks for a while with their phone even with the proximity disabled... Shouldn't happen and you should report it!
In the meantime, I would disable Bluetooth permission for the app (nearby devices permission if Android) or...
Interesting and weird. I can see my Gen1 voltage dropping to ~12-ish while not charging and 14.3 when charging/awake.
I do measure directly from the leads on the battery though. Are you sure that your truck was sleeping even with the door open? I'd validate that with ElectraFi or with the app icon
Yes. Noco does that as well, and I run this every so often and I could clearly see my sleep/wake times improved immediately after running a full cycle and lasting several weeks in that state.
