Liking the look too much, maybe I'll have a difficult time going back to the stock wheels and tires, even though I'll likely get a bit less road noise and a bit more range.
I had some issues with my 1st R1T service. Some items were still deficient, and some not done, but they went out of their way to satisfy my concerns, including driving a Gen 1 R1T to my work, to swap out my truck and take it for repairs.
I'd guess my service loaner to be an earlier R1T quad, as...
I am thinking more about my tire and wheel combination, honestly leaning more towards an A/T tire. If I stuck with the 21's then will probably order a 2nd set of wheels with A/T or snow tires.
What about you? Would you change what your R1 was ordered/delivered with?
I have a 40 amp level 2 charger to charge our Kona EV, but am getting the Rivian charger, which will have a larger breaker 50-60amp, and wondered if anyone encountered any issues charging non-Rivian vehicles.
Thx
Quite a surprise to get the lock-in email today. Maybe that means my delivery will be in advance of the Dec/Jan date projected a while ago.
Hoping so at this point.
I almost started messing with my colour and wheels, but stuck to the plan more or less ;-)
Sounds like the charger is going to...
Yesterday I caught myself staring at my gas gauge a few times.
Even though my current commute is pretty short, I find I am itching for the Max pack delivery as the prices took a big jump again.
Best decision we made was getting the little Kona EV in the meantime while we were waiting. It's kind...
Without driving it, I thought the Polestar 3 was most impressive. The interior also was super polished compared to most of the competitors. I think they stated 2 month delivery wait approximately.
I liked the BMW SUV styling, but the interior felt gaudy and I didn't care for the...
I noticed that the list had dwindled significantly. I'm going to wait until the dual motor/max, but there must have been a number of bites, because the shop inventory is way down.
I have not driven by, but saw the pictures on facebook. Rivian "coming soon" signs all of the glass for 2 floors. Looks like there is going to be another sales centre at the corner of Lougheed and Willingdon.
My ebike is pretty heavy and may be buying my spouse a new ebike. But because hers new one potentially has a dropped center bar, and I am a little tired of the workout I get while lifting up my bike on a conventional horizontal bar rack, am looking for a heavy duty e-bike specific rack.
I think...
Unexpectedly, I got a call that my Lightning would be delivery soon, I was actually kind of stoked. At the time there was no news on the R1T dates for me, so I was pretty serious about potentially making the switch.
Other than the battery fire at the plant, I know the Lightning had few reported...
There will be a lot of pressure now to make a decision soon, which I wasn't expecting.
The preorder date for the F150 was Nov 22, MFG date End of May 2023
My preorder date for the R1T Maxpack was winter 2020, which I anticipate to be MFG end of 2023
The advantage of the F150, I think is towing...
If you'd had a chance to reorder, what items/options might you add, that you did not get? Any regrets on colour choice? Would you chose a different interior or exterior colour? Tires/ wheels?
From Rivian:
Hi Doug,
Your R1T has been updated to Performance Dual-Motor AWD and Max pack.
(I actually did successfully log in shortly after posting this)
Updated new Max Pack specs from configurator on 4/5/23 (posted by @RivianXpress)

My wife just told me we are anticipating hitting $2.65 a litre this summer. Hopefully RJ and team can pull out a minor miracle and get the Vancouver Maxpacks delivered before then.
(in Vancouver BTW)
Thanks to another member, and awful traffic this Saturday, I went on a little excursion. My wife also seemed to be unexpectedly curious. Thanks to the very nice contractor for giving us a little tour. I'm in construction and I thought the team there was doing a pretty good...
The level 2 charger I just installed has a 40amp breaker and a matching level 2 cable with a max 40 amp current capacity.
The cable I have is rated at a maximum 50 amps, so do you think it is worth opting for the Rivian charger to get the additional 10 amps, when I get the truck next year? It's...
I won't have my R1T until next year sometime, nor do I think there are many R1T's in the neck of the woods (YVR) but am making a vacuum table to form some carbon fibre parts for my boat (right now) and maybe my car later.
When I get my truck, I'll probably tinker with some parts to make it...
I was thinking of plugging in at work daily as the power would be donated, however only at level 1 (110/120V)
Will this harm an EV battery of the long haul?
