Just towed our empty boat trailer from San Antonio to Corpus Christi yesterday. Our estimates weren't nearly as wacky as the OP, but they were certainly off quite a bit. It kept trying to force a stop at a fast charger, but we stuck to our guns and arrived with 60 miles in reserve.

Couple of quick updates:
I noticed that Rivian navigation showed the MB chargers the day after I made this post. Think that means I somehow missed that and made a mistake about the listing.
As of today, I see that they changed our every other CCS port with a NACS port. Oddly enough, hey chose...
Yup.
Mine had a crack/hole in it from OO damage. Repaired it with 3M kit and it works fine but it isn't pretty.
Then again, replacing it without also replacing my dinged tailgate is probably silly.
Crazy thought...
My Volvo similarly brick once at the airport after a long trip. My solution was to install a battery saver device that disconnects the 12v battery when voltage reaches a certain level. Remote button that I have routed to the outside in a hidden location allows you to turn it...
Angle at the forward end of the side bed panel is held captive by the front/tonneau panel. Nonetheless, you should be able to take out a few bolts and flex the panel to get access to the bolt for the tail light.
Think I will stop in at my SC tomorrow and ask about their price on a new rear...
Very nice. Would love to make one so that I don't have to bring my SUP inflator for camping (although it also helps with mattress deflation).
Can you point us to the STL or CAD file for your thingy?
Hey, I stopped at the Buc-ee's in New Braunfels TX this evening to charge at the 20+ Tesla superchargers. This is a common stop for me between Austin and San Antonio on long drive days. I've had qualms about putting $$ in Tesla's pockets, but the reliability and pricing differences make using...
I have done that a few times with no negative impact. Should be fine unless they changed something in the software. Haven't seen anyone else reporting issues.
Sounds like you mobile tech is taking the approach that customers shouldn't touch anything on the truck
That is not entirely true.
There are methods to replace the 12v without interrupting 12v power.
Disconnecting the HV does not require a special reset.
Current versions of the software allow resetting 12v errors via the RIDE menu.
FWIW, from a chat I had with SC staff last month it looks like they have hired contractors in some locations to do routine (lower skill) jobs like tire rotations and 12v battery swaps. Hopefully that is keeping the costs down a bit. Might also be that they are absorbing some of the cost as a way...
Unless I am mistaken, there aren't any real-world production range extender vehicles except for the discontinued BMW i3 and Chevy Volt. It seems a bit disingenuous to rave at how great something is that only exists in theory or prototype. The real world examples of range extenders have all kinda...
Love this sound and so do the owls at our place. They often reply.
Anyway, just had to seek out one of these bumper stickers.
Wish I could make it hoot during daylight.
