I did the .51.02 update the other day and this morning, my R1S had a critical 12V alert to get replaced ASAP. I have an appointment to stop by the Service Center tomorrow.
Sorry for bringing this old post back up, but curious if 2 Medium or Intermediate crates would fit side by side in the R1S. I am looking at the Intermediate for my R1T. I think I will need to remove my backseat.
Thanks for all the feedback. The southern route is definitely the way to go. It will be a quick round trip, so not looking at spending any more time on the road than necessary. :-)
I am looking at making that drive in my R1S. It looks as if I could take the 40 or the 15. I have done long trips along the 15 but never the 40. How are the charging option along the 40 into New Mexico and the 25 N to Pueblo compared to the 15, 70, 25 through Denver?
If you already have a vehicle that has XM and you have the streaming option added, do you need to add anything to access XM in the Rivian?
For example...I have a GMC Sierra that had XM, they are offering Car+Streaming to re-activate that radio. If I do that, can I login to XM on the Rivian...
My R1T did this early on. It went away (or significantly reduced) after a software update. The behavior appears to have returned with 47.01
It is very noticeable now.
I don't need all of Carplay. Just add native Waze and I am good.
Built in nav sucks. For those who say they need the integrated charger routing, that isn't any better than looking at the map and figuring it out for yourself. Preconditioning the battery hasn't made any noticeable difference...
My 275/60/20 are actually a little less efficient than my stock Perelli AT. Not sure how, but they are. I had Rivian reprogram for 21 and they are displaying 2.03 efficiency over 2,300 miles. My lifetime efficiency over 38,776 miles is 2.11.
I drive my Gen 1, Launch Edition with 20's, every day and plug it in at home almost every night. It gets me where I need to be.
I changed my tires from AT to AS and the drive is much quieter and probably more smooth.
The range works for me. I can get to 99% of the places I go without...
Their service model reminds me of the model many RV dealers use. Bring your RV in and let it sit on our lot until we get around to it. Then once it's done, you have 24 hours to pick it up before having to pay for storage.
Hmmm, that's another revenue source Rivian hasn't tapped!
Tethering works great. I added this screen and get everything I need.

My phone integration is absolutely useless. Can't really do anything and when on a call, people on the other end say it's so bad that they will call me back later. If I need to talk to someone, I either use speak er Pho ne or actually hold the phone to my ear (illegal).
