Tesla has offered something similar (acceleration boost) for year. I think they charge 2k? Theres a guy on Reddit who sells referral points for $200 bucks so I wound up doing it, no clue how he does it
I agree. I love my JL (pre price hikes), but leadership is a disaster. Hoping in a few years the next gen drivetrain looks more promising than it does right now.
I agree Stellantis leadership is doing a shockingly poor job right now. I love my JL though, purchased before they became 70k vehicles. Hoping mid 2027 we see the unveiled next generation and will decide next steps at that time.
I love the prototype. Competition is a good thing for all of us. Interested in the Scout, a low mileage used Rivian, or the next gen Wrangler come 2027.
Yeah I understand the conflict of interest. I'm saying even if there was no Musk, why was Rivian selected. But sounds like they simply asked for a loan. I wouldn't be for something where the gov't hand picked a struggling automaker as the lucky winner of a loan for example but doesn't sound like...
Yeah the potential conflict of interest I get it. I didn't know Rivian received it because they simply applied. I was going to say then why not others like Lucid etc who are also American and could use some help.
Ohhh I didn't know that haha. I genuinely didn't know how it worked. I thought it was like they were picked by the gov't as the lucky winner out of all the struggling auto makers.
CAB canceled it stating it was clearly a mistake which I do think was the case. I do think that was the right move, but the should have canceled the entire auction or extended it 24 hours at least.
Wow really? Yeah it's odd when I moved 1 town over my insurance increased by 25%. I'm surprised the Rivian premiums aren't super high given the repair costs.
I'm referring to completed auctions on the major sites. Non auctions I see most listed high 50s and up. Once were in the 40s I'll be super tempted. I'm just worried about the insurance premiums. Are they very high given the crazy repair costs?
Yeah I don't think I've seen anything under 53k yet. Cars and Bids at least adds 1 minute each time someone bids allowing others to keep bidding as well.
Right? I think it and several watchers who were scared off by the 47 to 57k offer bump and backed off. Then he got to swoop back in. I do think it was accidental super lucky!
Yep that's the only reason it sold this low. Yeah I saw he hit a deer front bumper replaced. I would have taken the risk for 15-20% under market value comps.
That makes sense. It's still by far the lowest sold I've seen, even on auction sites. The winner accidentally bid 57k the during the final minute so it scared other buyers off. The website removed that bid siting accidental and he was able to bid 47 and win it.
