Great! Could you post where I can learn how to install OP-long? Trying to find that info on Discord is an exercise in frustration. Also, You posted on the other Rivian forum about Lukasā new box. Could you post that info as well?
TIA
This has been a known problem for quite a while. Back in April 2023 @Cosmacelf postulated that its due to a design problem and the BMS canāt cool the battery quickly enough during regen.
Regen Problem
Hah! Thatās pretty funny.
I do have 2 concerns:
1) every time SP/mads-tesla-prebuilt powers up the yellow warning message pops up: āThis branch is not testedā. is that normal?
2) following a vehicle with ACC active I never see the yellow triangle as described in the instructions. is that...
I reinstalled SP and it seems to be working properly ā for now. š¤
I found the toggle for Cancel All when braking, but I never found a toggle for cancel speed and keep steering even tho I tried it and it does work. Also, what is Unified Engagement Mode (UEM)?
Iāve had mixed results. Yesterday I was able to do a 12-mile round trip and things seemed to work just fine. Even tried MADS and that was fun ā but like @Tatnai I couldnāt figure out how to turn it off. :)
Last night I played with some settings and then this morning I repeated the same loop...
After driving with OpenPilot for a few days I decided to try SunnyPilot. I followed the instructions for uninstalling OpenPilot and installing SunnyPilot but after the reboot it would not recognize my dongle id.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I recently added the Comma 3X wiring harness to my R1T and downloaded the stable version of OpenPilot and I believe my question is in line with this discussion.
When towing a trailer Rivian still requires manual braking while in ACC. This behavior is the same with OpenPilot. Is there any...
Well I was able to install the Comma 3X wiring harness into my R1T despite my clumsy fingers and it only took 15 min. The rest of the install was easy and Iāve now have OpenPilot up and running.
Has anyone in the Bend area installed the Comma 3X hardware? I've been following the install instructions / video and just have no faith that I will be able to plug the multi pin connector back into the AXM. I guess my fingers are just too big & clumsy. Any local help/advice would be greatly...
Twice a year I swap summer/winter tires by jacking up 1 entire side of my R1T (DM Max) using the DCE-Weistec rock sliders and have yet to have any sort of problem. They seem to be pretty rugged and Iāve not noticed any bending or flexing the of the sliders.
I like your setup as well. Actually, I originally traded my Ram 1500 EcoDiesel for the R1T w/QM and LargePack and then a year later traded that in for the R1T w/DM and MaxPack. I donāt miss the extra power and the extra mileage was worth the trade.
We have 2 Gazelle ebikes which weigh 62lbs...
I believe it would be possible to remove the lids by pushing out the hinge pins. I left the lids on because there is about 7ā of space above the boxes that I will sometimes use to store long items like RV awning poles. I did remove the latches since I found no need to latch the lids closed.
We traded in our Ram EcoDiesel to tow our 27ā Flying Cloud with a DM R1T Max and havenāt ever looked back. Itās so much nicer towing with the R1T.
Quite some time ago a poster on this forum suggested a toolbox from Home Depot: Dewalt Rolling Toolbox so I picked up a pair and they are a perfect fit. Easy to roll in and roll out and I can pack all of my RV equipment in them as well as tire charging and bicycle tools.
The fold down doors...
Fellow RVāer here and we towed our 27ā Flying Cloud from Bend to Temecula and back this winter and can confirm the 1.1 mi/kwh @ 65 mph but that would drop to 1.0 @ 70 mph. I expect we could achieve 1.3 if we stayed under 55 mph. š
We plan on ācoastingā this summer to many of the Oregon State...
