@SSFC5 This is basically what my rep said too although he said he was still waiting for 'management' feedback. For me loosing the $500 is even more frustrating as I placed my order late on Jan 19th, received the "Your R1 order is in!" email the morning of the 20th to then see this incentive on...
I think it is reasonable to allow for the incentive if you have not already taken delivery (closed the purchase). Many dealers offer a price guarantee; why not Rivian?

Looking for input:
Placed our order, paid the deposit and even received a VIN number on the 14Jan. With this incentive saying not valid on orders before the 21st how do you think I should handle it?
I mean I could cancel the first order, even loosing the deposit, and start again and still come...
