Rivian Launches New Ad Campaign: Real Rivian Adventures Featuring Real Owners & Families

Agreed, this ad misses the mark for me too. I guess its fun for taking inspiration from a real event, but there still seems to be a lot of people who haven't heard of Rivian or even adverse to electric vehicles in general. Hopefully this isn't the only ad in the campaign, I'm cheering to for...

Rivian launches "ALSO" micromobility EV startup for e-bikes, scooters, other small electric vehicles

Throw back to this thread from two years ago 😱: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/rivian-e-bike-is-coming-rj-tells-staff-electric-bike-in-development.12353/ And the first interview that mentioned it: That pause before he answers makes this seem like an idea a very long time in the...

PRODUCT UPDATE! YELLOW Jack Point Identifier w/3M Adhesive $14.95

Actually, I forgot where I saw this on the forum but I'm going with a third option: https://evsportline.com/collections/rivian-r1t-r1s-running-boards-side-steps-nerf-bars-and-rock-sliders/products/rivian-r1t-r1s-rmaxx-running-board-bolt-on-aero-cover-plates?variant=43794845106316 Not going to...

Bluetti AC180 Power Battery Pack - Charging While Using

Down the rabbit hole, but actually found someone who tested it on YouTube: Someone with more expertise can probably explain, but seems like all power stations will pull directly from the outlet (and thus not surpass ~1500W) when plugged in. I did manage to find a 500W power supply with...

Bluetti AC180 Power Battery Pack - Charging While Using

So I did some more reading, and the Anker SOLIX F2000 (PowerHouse 767) has this uninterruptible power supply (UPS) feature: The unit is rated for 2400W of AC output. The manual doesn't say explicitly, but I'm guessing the UPS feature would mean it can deliver 2400W regardless of what the AC...

Bluetti AC180 Power Battery Pack - Charging While Using

This is a very useful sharing! After losing power last year during a hurricane and having to run off the Rivian battery for a week, there were a couple instances where the power demands were too much and tripped the Rivian inverter. I was actually considering buying one of these solar...

SXSW 2025 Interview: RJ Scaringe on the Electric Future and Unifying Vision - by iJustine

Nothing substantial. Here's the timestamp of the mention: Again, it was just a brief mention.

SXSW 2025 Interview: RJ Scaringe on the Electric Future and Unifying Vision - by iJustine

More content of RJ, this time with iJustine at SXSW. A lot of the same talking points if you've watched other interviews with RJ, but still an interesting watch especially because she lets him talk. A few interesting highlights to me personally: RJ talks autonomy, but asks if Justine has a Gen...

Rich Roll Podcast - RJ Scaringe

Good interview. There's a lot of talking points that's been said before, but also some good insights into the mind of RJ. I really dig his optimistic attitude, confidence in R2/R3 after going through an incredible company building journey, and his grounded perspective on everything. ...

Rivian R1S Running Board Install - Help me understand plastic hole cutting

I had no idea these existed! Looks nice, I might end up picking this option instead. Appreciate the share.

Rivian R1S Running Board Install - Help me understand plastic hole cutting

This helps immensely. Thanks for taking the time to get a photo. Guess I'll do it by eye then. Worst case, I'll just toss the plastic panels. I suppose I lack a good imagination. How do the jack puck covers work if you cut a hole into the jack puck areas?

Rivian R1S Running Board Install - Help me understand plastic hole cutting

This is great. I'm guessing by doing the cuts by eye, the jack puck covers were uninterrupted?

Rivian R1S Running Board Install - Help me understand plastic hole cutting

Just recently ordered some running boards, the EVSportline RMaxx ones. Initially I was going just going to take all the plastic panels off, but other forum members convinced me that would be easy enough to keep them on and seal them with Gorilla tape. One of the install details that confuses me...

For those interested in a source, https://riviantrackr.com/news/rivian-is-taking-on-tesla-with-hands-free-driving-in-2025-eyes-off-tech-in-2026/ but it still seems like you had to be there to hear it directly, this isn't an official press release.

PRODUCT UPDATE! YELLOW Jack Point Identifier w/3M Adhesive $14.95

Thanks, I think you've just convinced me to go ahead with the cuts. Time to get me some tools! ...oh, and order Jack Point identifiers.

PRODUCT UPDATE! YELLOW Jack Point Identifier w/3M Adhesive $14.95

That's good to know. Actually, I just don't have the proper tools to do either the circle cut or the L-shape cut. Plus what everyone seems to say online is the plastic trim pieces don't have any significant use.

PRODUCT UPDATE! YELLOW Jack Point Identifier w/3M Adhesive $14.95

I'm interested for one too. I'm about to install some running boards as well. I don't want to cut holes in the plastic panels, so I'll be just removing them completely. It would be nice to have something for this situation.

Throw back to this thread started by @Mister Person with the "Nebula" color: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/r1s-design-appreciation-chonky-goodness.3871/page-2 I was liking it so much that it inspired me to make my own edit. Gen2 Quad R1 - Alternate Quad Badges That Were Considered

No original files, but they were in the image gallery of the recent Motortrend article Learning All About the R3 and R3X With Rivian’s Design Chief. Some reason the image gallery loads very slow on a desktop browser. Better just to view it on mobile.
