That would definitely not be an April build. It's not your Guide's fault as they have no real details. If they unmatch you I would think they put you at the the top of the list but who knows - this is Rivian after all.

My SC does provide loaners but it would not be a Rivian from what they tell me. I'd rather have them pick it up as I have a spare vehicle, but they charge for that now.

I did end up spending time in the vehicle today and played around with the sound equalizer. Definitely made a significant improvement in the sound quality. I'd say it's on par with the Meridian I had in the Jaguar IPace.

It's good to hear that they did actually replace the tailgate for you, but it taking a month would have made me crazy!

The biggest factor in having this conversation with them is the fact that they told me it was a different build date and the guide assured me they would take it back. Still a pain to go through the hassle, but at these prices (even pre-increase) they shouldn't be delivering vehicles like this.

Definitely this is more physchological than anything else. Whether the 22 or the 23, the R1S is till a really safe vehicle. I keep trying to tell my wife this.... hoping she will come around!

An excellent point and one that I will point out to my wife who is the one more bothered by it than I am. For me, the alignment issues were a bigger deal but not a show stopper.

My guide assured me that if I returned it within the 7-day window because of these issues I could get back on the list for a different one. Will only know if that was accurate should I try to return it!
