Rivians do use cameras to "see" the speed limit signs I think. Perhaps they use the navigation maps settings too? They have always had trouble with certain types of signs, like ones that are digital or temporary. The school zone signs don't register, which is unfortunate.
I don't think people are as picky about the DCFC station prices as they are with gas stations. Most of us have found a way to charge at home and don't use DCFC regularly. For the occasional use and road trips, I will pay the higher RAN price if it is available. I want to support RIvian and the...
I second this. Also, the Tesla UWC is competitively priced. I installed one months ago at a rental property and it has been flawless. Have a Tesla gen3 at home also. The other option I would look at is the Grizzl-e Duo and that one is expensive.
The service centers are a hyper local issue. Some, like mine in Richmond, do a great job. Others there are horror stories. Like everything else on this forum, the bad gets reported and the good largely goes unnoticed.
I would not advise making this kind of decision, one way or the other, based on social media. If you are influenced by forums like this, make sure you avoid the reddit sub. For the record, I've owned two R1Ts and they are both solid. I would not own anything else, except maybe an R2.

My Tacoma had a recall to replace the entire frame because they forgot to put rust proofing on it, and it was going to collapse. I had a loaner for 4 months. Service issues can happen to anyone, any car manufacturer.
And this will accomplish what? If it is so bad sell your Rivian and buy something else. I don’t have issues with my service center. Sorry that you do.
I would say your one anecdote doesn't mean systemic problems. It works both ways. If you have a rea
It works both ways. One bad anecdote doesn't mean systemic problems. You clearly have an axe to grind, this isn't an effective forum for it.
Since we are sharing experiences, both my trucks have been great. My service center (Richmond VA) is respectful, prompt and proactive. I have no complaints.
When you make sweeping statements about the company, the vehicles and the service based on your one experience, it just makes you sound...
Okay, so let me do it for you. The reason we have these changes is because we actually get updates. Frequently. Updates that improve the vehicles every 6 weeks or so. Does anyone remember what the software was like in 2022? OMG. So much better now. The auto ride height was required because...
