I learned a long time ago that people donāt often come to forums to talk about how great their experience is, because there is no need to. People come to help identify causes of issues or express experiences that were unpleasant, which does help others with similar issues. The downside is that...
I have not had this occur with the new update. I suspect there is something causing an issue in the communication between the EVSE and the vehicle. Are you able to stop the charging from the home charger before unplugging? Have you seen this when unplugging from a DCFC? What about other Level 2...
Plenty of previous threads on the dash rattle. Mine is more center. Had remote service visit that replaced a duct and the dash screen with newer design. However, now the dash rattle is much worse. Trying to find time to drive the 200 miles to the SC to have them look at it again.
I have had the R1T for 1 year. Not a single stain on any OC surface. I do go in with CarPro Inside Cleaner (standard stuff, not the leather cleaner) every few months and itās holding up well.
I purchased my R1T in June ā23, so not sure if it has changed, but there is a step in the purchase process to select whether or not you have a trade-in. You put in the info and take a bunch of photos. Once itās reviewed, you can see the trade-in value offer. You can choose to accept or reject it...
I must be in the minority, in that I didnāt mind doing this. Had the bank send a scan of the check and tracking info to Rivian the day before pickup. Did the same for a Model Y a few months later. I agree itās not ideal, but didnāt find it odd.
With that said, itās a shame that these practices...
Video is about his R2 experience. However, at minute 24:52 in the video, Kyle mentions that the R1 refresh is coming in about a month with OOS videos being posted in a few weeks.
Really excited to see the updates. Even if they are minor.
For the 3d print nerds, I'm confident someone else has done this, but this was an epiphany moment for me. When I received my R1T I purchased a center console storage basket from a popular seller but was very disappointed in the quality. It was obviously 3d printed, with exposed layer lines, a...
Being 2 yrs out, Iām sure it will improve, but that leather doesnāt look like itās holding up too well. Stains on the back seats and excessive wrinkling/damage from the rear seats folding down. Also has quite a bit of creasing on the driver seat bolster.
No news yet, but have been waiting as well. I assume theyāre still working their way through those that purchased the manual tonneau with their R1T. Once Rivian gets caught up, then it will be added to the shop.
@tate16t Admittedly, the stains Iāve experienced are mild and tea/coffee are stronger, but I have gotten coffee spots off the seat with this method. However, the other consideration is if the stain has seeped into the perforated portion of the seat. That could be a problem for sure.
I use CarPro Inside and scrub with a soft boar hair brush then wipe with a microfiber towel. Thatās worked for the liquid stains Iāve experienced on my OC. However, I have yet to try it on bloodā¦.
@ndmiller Yes as the phone slides over and starts charging, the truck will chime. Kind of like the chime your phone makes when you put it on a normal charging dock.
My vote is for your phone sliding around on the charger. I had it happen on the first drive when I picked up the truck and finally had to ask the Rivian guide with me what was making the sound.
R1Tmcgās response should solve the issue. When I first received my R1T, I had similar issues with the app; couldnāt schedule or limit charging through the app and couldnāt save settings. Soft reset of the truck itself corrected the issue. App has been working well since.
