Building a new house - what would you ensure was part of the plan?

Fun ideas just make sure if the garage is attached, you don't compromise the firewall or adding a new load beam I'd calculated out.

Factory tour videos & pics + Gen2 Quad spotted in new color (Launch Green?)

The calipers look grey to me. The badging is black. The port location has not changed on those pics. Maybe not a quad and just the new color but it does have Gary on the back.

Stripped TP55 Bolt - how to extract?

Grinding down the top of bolt head does not sound like a good idea at all.

Review of Lectron's NEMA 14-50 splitter (not compensated)

I installed a 14-50 at our weekend house and use it with the mobile connector which is only 32A so not much strain on it. Basically a free charging option. The circuit supplying it is ready for 12KW if I ever decide to hardwire something.

Review of Lectron's NEMA 14-50 splitter (not compensated)

I would rather have two outlets even if one is 120v for maintenance charging. I think this box is going to be unreliable as most chargers do a diagnostic on boot for ground fault. For instance the rivian mobile charger often will not complete this successfully if already plugged in at the vehicle.

R2's Pop-Out Rear Quarter Windows may also be removable (patent)

Our gx470 has much more wind noise than the Rivian ever had. I put extra weatherstripping on the Rivian to make it even more quiet. I think it's the quietest brick.

Autel Maxchargers also load share. In apartment buildings you don't really need one for each car and the 25' lead allows sharing up to four spaces.

Anyone try a tire in 275/55R20?

The stock 20s are 34". Subtracting one inch is a 33" which is what the non AT ones are. Just use one of those configs.

    DEMO R1’s VS. USED

California should be straight forward for them.

Building a new house - what would you ensure was part of the plan?

Right. Using a normal 200A panel with a 200A breaker means you can't add solar into the panel because you'll be over the bus rating.

    Phoenix to Fresno

Wow I didn't realize the big Tesla station in Baker was Tesla only.

    DEMO R1’s VS. USED

Rivian R1's have Samsung cells and the R2 will have LG.

Picked up a spare tire. Now what??

Sorry about that. I actually bought one from Harbor Freight. I shouldn't have made that Amazon recommendation. I figured some people might not have HF nearby.

    PAAK affecting Bluetooth Handsfree calling

On Android I had this exact problem where the receiver person got garbled sound. For me it turned out to be an adhoc bt app that was hammering the BT connection. Uninstalling the app resolved the issue. It was called briar but it's not available on iOS. It does peer to peer communication like...

    DEMO R1’s VS. USED

Yea Sounds like a great deal! Rivian would make sure a demo car used for test drives is fully functional. Having potential buyers drive something with issues is not an incentive to buy. Buying an early quad means none of the stupid drive mode settings that reset. You get permanently selectable...

Pirelli OEM 22in vs Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

I think because they are so heavily front biased. Having a heavy vehicle that is mostly in fwd, does all the braking and steering with the front is too much for the tires. I have Michelin tires on all three of our other cars and so were their previous sets. They have few faults.

Picked up a spare tire. Now what??

Honestly the whole jack system on the Rivian with puck(s), (scissor) Jack, and block underneath is a death trap of Jenga. They should make the mobile service guys use this instead of the off-road floor jack. They obviously don't trust it. With a vehicle this heavy, changing a tire on uneven...
