I bought Liner X throughout and I like them very much. They do the entire vehicle including the rear. When the rear flap is up and you have the Rivian cargo cover it does a good job of hiding what is there.
6AWG in conduit properly installed Is ok for 48A on a 60 breaker. 6 AWG Romex is not and is derated due to heat considerations. I had wanted to run 4AWG and put this all to bed and future proof, but the connector block in the Rivian charger is specked for 6 AWG although I am told the 4 will...
-Thank you,
Can you comment...
are the wires you tapped into always live? or do they go on with the vehicle,
do they go directly to the 12V only? and do you know which fuse goes to them ?
TIA
Voted yes on my November 23 R1S .
i’ve only had one minor problem promptly addressed early on. I feel lucky that I got a late model GEN one when a bunch of the kinks were already worked out. Love it size, love it storage. And find it fascinating to drive every day. No 12 V issues but I plug...
I like your plan, did not think about needing a fuse. If you make it happen please post it. I was just thinking about travelling with the extra battery and jumpers on a long trip. I just dont want to dismantle mine to figure it out.
I did go to the SC, Asked to buy a battery- they said NO. Would love to keep a backup in the frunk. I keep tools to get in the frunk in the trailer hitch. If anyone here can show off a battery with the dimensions for an adaptor plate that is what I would do. Don't want to spend $400 on an Ohmmu.
So many variables.... I have a 23 large pack quad vin 23xxx delivered 11/23, 21 OEM pirellis, 3 cargo bars.
Just shy of 10K miles now. Mainly a daily driver two and from work and a few road trips. no off roading.
In my ownership my average miles/kw has been 2.4. Sometime 1.8 in the cold to...
Front two cerossbars appear level with each other front to back, but they are higher in the middle than on the sides. The rear cross bar is lower than the front and middle by about an inch.
Hope this helps.
I bought the Rivian charger with my vehicle in 2023. I have had no issues with it . I do like the fact that is coordinates with the app, but its really not necessary.
I do recommend hard wired if possible. Plugs can fail and hard wired seems safer to me and can allow more amperage. I can max at...
