Overall, happy with the update.
A few things Iāve noticed so far, some of which Iāve seen others experiencing on G1 - minor inconveniences
- Cleared SXM Favorites
- Day/night lock sound switched to all owl/night
- Climate Control came back as off
- options quick menu comes up when I go into...
Had a HUD on my 1989 Nissan 240SX. Speedo only. Liked it and was soooo unusual then. That did have a display portion built into the windscreen that made replacement pricey IF they could find one. I actually didn't get new glass with HUD display area after original windscreen took a stone and it...
2 yrs and 10 months in - Still smitten with the truck, love the company, like the SiriusXM app while I've been using it on trial.
Sounds like from this thread that the net situation is that each Rivian vehicle must have its own streaming sub whether net new, added to existing account or...
Took a trip to Daphne myself in last couple of months before getting my NACS adapter. Was really pleased to find a couple of Tesla SCs in a row with Magic Docks in AL. While in Daphne, had to resort to the MB (Chargepoint) DCFC at Buckee's down the road on I10 a bit. I love me some Buckee's but...
I put mine in a mesh pouch and store that in the charging accessory case. There's space in there and, well, the adapter is another charging accessory :)
Pay no attention to the filthy screen.
This is how my overhead view appeared earlier today. Unsettling after having watched Godzilla Minus One over the weekend:oops:
I was pleasantly surprised by not one but two SCs in a row with Magic dock while on a trip to south Alabama.
On the way home I was routed to an EA station at a Samās club with nothing near by, almost R1 unusable layout, non-working units and a Mach E settled in for the long haul on only working...
Iām having a vague (and maybe completely incorrect) recollection of one of the Munro teardown videos around the tonneau that pointed out a LOT of sealant use. Also recalling they didnāt say it was wrong, just maybe an area for better and more efficient application.
I wonder if this is what...
Maybe old news but I couldnāt find any mention of this in several searches and it wasnāt on Rivianās map as under development when I looked.
Saw on LinkedIn a bunch of Rivian service center related jobs for o location in Charlotte, NC. I hope itās true as it would be more convenient for me...
Couldnāt agree more and thanks for the article.
Iām referring to actions Iād consider no more distracting than selecting and listening to music or a conversation with passengers. I too limit even hands free repsonses to things like āHome soonā, āTalk laterā and for fun āTLDLā (Too long. Didnāt...
I must be missing a nuance on this topic. I do hands free texting all the time in my 2022 R1T.
With eyes on the road and hands upon the wheel, āSiri. Read messagesā. And messages are read to me over the vehicle audio and responded to via my voice through vehicle microphone, all while pausing...
+1000 for not being surprised and not whining about this.
Since Mar ā22 delivery Iāve got a grand total of 1 RAN session at an adventure destination thatās an REI in Concord, NC. ? That being said, really could have used the one in Blowing Rock, NC during a recent trip but whole site was on a...
I would have liked to have heard some acknowledgement that doing the Bosch quad to start was a reasonable choice as it delivered differentiated quad capabilities in time to get them to market when they did. I think the Rivian-native dual motor is an awesome addition but had they taken the time...
Iām in OPās situation. Kneel and easy entry/exit donāt always work.
My work around for easy entry/exit is foot off brake, turn off/on in settings and it works .
I mentioned it to a mobile tech a while back. They suggested seat calibration. I may try that now that I can do it from the menu.
I'd posted on another thread about my Discount Tire rotation experience.
Mine was stellar. It would be great if they've established a formal arrangement to be Rivian's go-to.
On day of service, I had a little panic attack on way there thinking about special process, puck requirements, etc...
If this is for real, aside from the modifications that appear to be done by "D-Day", as previously alluded to, I wonder how much electrical work that needed after roof removal. For one, the secondary emergency cut loop to disable... everything is in the C-pillar that's no longer there. Maybe...
I had a little freak out moment on way to appointment, remembering that there'd be more to the job than just suitable jacks. They didn't ask any questions and the guy didn't act like it was their first. They did the job right next to the lobby where they were in clear view through the window...
I went longer than I would have liked for rotation of 20 ATs and just got it done at 13k with Discount Tire (fantastic experience, BTW, and they seemed to know their way around Rivian specifics for rotation using pucks for lift, etc.) They didn't call out any unusual/uneven wear or timing for...
Did owner say how this happened? Might have missed in quick thread read. Some are suggesting testing itās limits but I wonder if driver just got somewhere they didnāt know would be that soft or thinly iced over.
My off-roading skilz are probably capable of leveraging 80% (probably less) of what...
I had an early instance I'd posted on where water had been found in the storage tray under dash and some drops seen from around rear view mirror. Rivian took it seriously even though I never saw it after that and noted that on my ticket. They took what sounded like a close look when it went in...
