Tesla, iirc, does the same thing. The paperwork shows an authorization to charge a few hundred to it, but I've never had them actually put a dime on my card.
And since it's a Tesla, I have multiple rounds of testing against it lol.
As most have mentioned, the ride over low speed bumps is dramatically better. Yay.
I do still think the suspension at "mid" speeds (30-50) could use some improvement. Rebound seems to be better, but compression still feels a bit stiff on Soft mode.
Toyota 4Runners have had the roll down rear glass and wipers for decades. 5th and now 6th Gens have them tucked up under the spoiler.
Older gens generally had them mounted onto the rear door panel itself.
Agree 100%. There's obviously value in it if tons of people requested it (it was very popular on RivianTrackr) and Rivian took the time to see it through to production, so it's obviously on me that I'm not currently seeing that perspective. Asking solely to try and expand my view. :)
I promise, this isn't me complaining...I'm always happy for new features. This is more an open question to hopefully see things from a different point of view.
With that, I personally don't see much benefit in the mirror tilt function with the 360 and wheel well cameras. I played with it this...
Valid points, but I'm hoping that the R1 doesn't drop off at the same rate as others. The R1S, notably, is in a segment that is still fire-hot (large 3-row SUVs). The Cybertruck simply doesn't compete with the F150/etc, the Taycan/Model S/Lucid Air are all sedans/wagons, which is a dying breed...
Welcome to the fam. We picked up our R1S a year and a half ago, and it's one of the few cars that, even after a couple years, I still turn around and look back at when I park it.
We have a Model 3 as our 2nd car, but that's getting traded in for an R2 once it becomes available.
We live by the one in Denver, and that Costco is out go-to. It's *always* packed, so I imagine it can't be that bad. Only used it once when it first opened up, just to play, and all was fine.
I passed on ratgdo due to having an Overhead Door opener and reading about folks having compatibility issues. I opted into buying the Meross garage door opener, and after some initial hiccups and wonkiness, it's settled in nicely and working perfectly both in the native app and through HA...
That's unfortunate. I got new tires on mine a couple weeks ago, and I told them I have pucks ready to go in the passenger seat. Guy told me not to worry, as they have the correct ones in stock, and also said they'd put me in the first bay so I could watch them load the car.
I'm speaking to the 20" Pirelli Scorpion A/Ts. They are technically rated as 3PMS, but from my experience they have always been less-than-stellar in all winter conditions (ice, packed snow, deep snow).
I used to run Falken Wildpeak AT3w's on my Land Cruiser and 4Runner, and they were miles...
Snow mode from my experience just retards the power output when you gas it (can we still say "gas it"?), reducing the risk of throwing too much torque onto the snow/ice at launch.
Experiencing that now here in Denver, where we just got a few inches of snow that has now compacted and gotten icy in patches. I had Falken AT3W's on my old Toyota's, and they were perfectly fine in this stuff. Obviously no match for dedicated winters (which I have on my Tesla and feels like a...
I've been hemming and hawing between the KO3's and Falken AT4W's. I've heard good things about both, and being a former AT3W loyalist, it's been difficult...still haven't bit the bullet on either yet, so let me know your initial thoughts once installed.
