Technically correct. But that is super vague legalism since it's based on intent.
How do you prove a vehicle was purchased originally with intent to resell it.
One way, of course, is leaving a digital footprint on the internet...
But who really thinks the IRS is that savvy.
Forgot to toss-in the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit that comes to the original EV buyer. While controversial there is nothing "hard wired" into the tax code about EV credits that mandates a minimum period of ownership. Many people may not expect that you can buy as many EVs as you want (that...
has anyone already posted about this very similar R1T selling on eBay at its "Buy It Now" price of $129K ?
Seller probably short-sold it honestly in the present feeding-frenzy moment.
I foresee R1S's in particular getting crazy high premiums. $180k will happen I anticipate.
Again, very recently at a Mecum Auction a first-edition Hummer EV sold for just shy of $300k.

Wish that Rivian would listen to customers (here) and do for the powered Tonneau cover what they did for the Off-road shields, make it Optional with a token price reduction. I would leap at the chance to pick the manual version with my L.E. truck and enjoy say a $500 to $1,000 savings to boot...
Folks, my comment about lack of "MSRP" nomenclature is in context with EV Rebate legal terminology. It's to the market (our) advantage for Rivian to make it crystal clear that the base price without any options, packages, etc. is the MSRP.
I might be overthinking this but gov't paid people...
