I am in the process of leasing an R1S and wanted to trade in my R1T and according to my Rivian salesperson they don’t have the capacity to issue you a check for the difference. I was frustrated about this as well. I am ending up selling my R1T to a dealer instead.

They've tried to fix my dash rattle 3 times and it never seems to take care of the problem. Frustrating.

I'm in California and I got my registration and plates 15 days after I took delivery of my R1T. Very efficient!

From my perspective, and it’s only been through a recent First Mile Mobile drive as I am still waiting for my R1T to ship from IL, I also have a LR MY and I agree with the OP, it’s fast but not instantaneous, but considering it’s considerably larger and a 7200lb vehicle, so it makes sense to me.

I assume registration and other documents will fit in one of those small compartments under the front seats?

You are asking a valid question. I am giving up my Model Y for the R1T and had some of the same concerns. For me the higher stance and utility of a truck (we have 3 Australian Shepherds) will be a big plus. Not to mention the R1T is just cool all the way around. It will take some time, but...

Thank you! You answered my question. They aren’t exclusively for roof mount only. I was planning to only purchase 1 set of crossbars with 2 bike mounts so it looks like that will work.

Can the roof top bike mounts also be used when the cross bars are in the bed?

I'm in the same boat, so to speak, I measured my garage and there will be no more than 12" to spare, which means there's really no way for me to walk around the R1T when it's in the garage. I'm wondering if that is cutting it too close?
