oh wow! Some programming for the Gen 1 would do the trick. I hope Rivian gives us Gen 1 early adopters some love. I am digging the roll stiffness and ride height fine tuneing! I would love to settle the rear of the truck a bit more to get the stance "correct"!
Hey Rivian Team (I know you're listening) and forum folks,
I wanted to share some thoughts and ask the community for some feedback. I’ve had the chance to experience a variety of AWD drivetrain systems, including the front/rear power bias in my wife’s EV6, the Driver Controlled Center...
Why does the stance of the R1T behind Sandy look correct? Kneel mode?? The rear stance seems to match the front! How do I get mine to stance correctly in Sport or deflate mode. My rear wheel gap is always more than the front.
I had the same issue. It was fixed last fall. It’s now happening again. It’s outside water coming from the cowl somewhere. I will be talking to my Mobile Service Tech this afternoon when he comes to fix some loose window trim.
Would it be possible and can we have a more rear drive biased mode or a driver controlled torque split. I would love to feel a bit more power directed to the rear especially when passing. The torque steers is tough to take.
Think BMW xdrive or even Kia Ev6 balance.
I’d take less total...
Yeah, This charger was new a year ago and gets little use. It was never commissioned properly so it doesn't recognize the cooled cable (thus the 37kw max). So its never been fast even after more than a few calls to the service provider.
In the past the R1 has told me that it was the...
Did the truck tell you that it was the limiting factor? I haven't seen any messages during charging lately and I always used to get a charger-limited message from a certain Enel X charger that said it was 150 yet would only deliver 37kw.
I was wondering if in one of the updates those...
I have had my roof facia adjusted, and have seen some improvements by resetting the window trim near the front window triangle (pinch pull, push and wiggle).
I am still actively awaiting the noise canceling feature to be added in a software update.
But also worried that this will never...
Rearview mirrors extend outward from the A pillar instead of the door. I would think that along with the elimination for the rear door second glass panel would be a lot of tooling changes for a midcycle refresh. Most companies change front/rear facia's and not much in terms of body panels...
I think we are getting there. I would love to see someone remove the roof glass and intergrate a shell that extends from leading edge of the roof (the front applique) all they way to the tailgate and enclose the rear bed. It could be mounted using the standard Rivian rack mount points on the...
I dont use Alexa often but I do wish I could say "Alexa fold mirrors" as I find it hard to easily fold the mirrors before driving into my garage.
Is this a skill I can "train" Alexa to help with?
Are there any shortcuts to fold the mirrors? Its hard to align the truck, open the garage and...
I have an EV6 and an R1T. I constantly turn the wipers on on the EV6 when attempting to place it into Drive and I tend to walk away from the car with it "on" while it screams at me! The HDA2 is great and works everywhere. It changes lanes without disconnecting (thank you soon to Rivian)...
Hey Team, I want Alexa to fold the mirrors. How can I add that skill? I want to be able to fold the mirrors easily (without going through the menus) when I pull the truck into my garage.
or... If Rivian needs to allow this? Please please and thank you!
The new interface is nice and smooth. I towed my boat about 4 miles and did not get a weight measurement. The orange circle just kept moving saying "sensing". And we still cant change drive modes or suspension settings with the cruise control on which is a bummer for me. There are sections...
I wonder how they will handle cooling the adaptor? How does Tesla cool its cables? At 250kwh for a 400Volt system, keeping the transmission hardware and cables cool will be a challenge.
So I ended up cleaning with Simple Green then Dawn then a isopropyl alcohol prep. I used about 1/2 the 15ml bottle to coat the rockers, fenders and bumpers. I did also coat the tonneau cover trim but not the side rails yet.
I plan to use the rest of the bottle to coat the rails, under the...
