I wasn't watching closely. I was inside upstairs but I swear I heard a drill at one point. The main reason they were out is cuz the firmware is stuck and I can't update it and the side view mirror doesn't work, they couldn't fix either. :(

They just did mine and they stuck what looked like a bolt cutter in-between the trim and cut the clip. Better to be safe but wonder about rattles and or damage to the trim.

They are giving me the option to simply return the truck. Not gotten R1 Shop access yet and don't know how long it would take and if I'd still have the 7 days on a new one. It's tempting to try again but with all the issues and the removal of options/features I'm not sure what to do.

P.S. Did they say anything about just returning the truck and not moving forward with another one?

The service center told me that a buyback had been started but they had nothing to do with that and someone would contact me. I've not heard anything but they did send an "Welcome to the Rivian Family" email.

They just sent a "Congratulations on your R1T reservation!" email without contacting me. Not sure what my options are. Thinking I should take the out and just get the money back. :(

When they did not fix the ones I have, I was told they can't fix them as the panels are bolted on and if they fix one issue it will make others.

I think they should as it looks like something's missing when looking at the same type of connection on the same vehicle. I wonder if it's something they just stopped including, like the power outlet in the front trunk, etc. I'm sure they figure no one's going to be up there looking at it but...

Finally drove it today and the firmware is stuck failed, installing. Message says I have to call support. Can no longer can recall seat and steering positions. Says they can't be recalled until serviced. The passenger side view mirror can no longer be adjusted. I can make manual adjustments...
