Have you or others using Tidal had issues with how loud you can get Tidal output? I have turned mine (R1T) up fully to 30 and it still isn't loud. I can go to other sources (native apps with Rivian UI) and it is reasonably louder at all settings. I have never used Tidal until this month and...
I like all your assumptions and calcs - thanks for sharing those. I have been on White Rim many times in my Jeep. I am familiar with both the route and the road quality - most is pretty easy. I will also have at least one other vehicle with me, probably 2.
I did take the R1T on Hells...
Heading back out on some challenging trails this summer and fall in Moab. You mention the protection panel - was that OEM or something you did aftermarket?
Catching up on this strong. OP, I think there are more adventurers than it seems. I took my R1T on Hells Revenge 3 weeks after I got it in Sept 2022. It did amazingly well. My BIL, who is extremely experienced with true, custom-built offroad rigs, was duly impressed. Not a small hurdle to...
I got the same A/T on my 22" wheels. There is a slight difference to the handling vs. the Pirellis and just a bit slower acceleration, but I am pleased with the LACK of road noise that I was expecting. There is a bit of a hum while at freeway speeds on windy interstate highways but overall...
Sold these yet? I have 22" darks but with nearly new snow tires only right now. Getting ATs on next week, so let me know if there is interest in this type of a swap.
I have to disagree with you here. I have used only Chargepoint and Electrify America with rare exception. I pulled into an EVgo spot yesterday and "filled up" from 38% to 72% and it was $55. That would be 2/3 of that, at most, on EA.
Makes sense but service center just did that and didn't find an issue. Seems that when these OEMs were on the rear and then moved forward, where I use Conserve mode a lot, they seemed to degrade even faster. Could be alignment and that makes sense, but SC said there was no issue.
I found out what the absolute limit is for the OEM 22" pirellis - 24,625. I limped into the tire shop with cords showing on the front left tire. I had scheduled the install of winter tires three weeks prior but they messed up twice on delivery of the Blizzaks so I found some Michelin X-ice...
Interesting that they want them on the rears only. I have fit my chains on my 22" and tried both front and back. I have seen no rubbing or damage or noise. The logic of having chains on the rear, if you really need steering control, makes no sense to me. If you are in need of chains, why...
Just went through option after option on my 22s. Either buy new full 20” setup (and nearly all wheels had the wrong offset so only Rivian’s own 20s seemed viable) and the options of EV/load/ diameter were so limited. Alll Nokian sold out so only option was x-ice.
Reconfirmed that the $110 won't qualify on these.
Thanks to OP for posting this. I do have a Question for anyone still watching this thread. These are A/T and I spent last winter in Utah (deepest ever on record) on my factory 22" tires. Yes, I got a lot of grief on these forums, but they...
Not remotely accurate about Utah. There are quite a few Rivians in Utah. There are also a lot of Tesla. But yes, the infrastructure is a challenge. That said, I have driven from N. Utah mountain (home) to Moab 4x, St. George 2x, Las Vegas, Lake Powell (hauling a boat), and Jackson (hauling a...
