    Thanks for clarification. I assume he was talking about the battery warranty, but I may have mis-heard the specific mileage limits. It was odd that he had to pause to look online for answers to any questions I had.

    When I called Rivian customer support to inquire, this is what I was told: Quad motor - 8 years / 150k miles Dual motor - 8 years / 125k miles Is it listed elsewhere that the dual motor vehicle has a shorter warranty?

    You are looking at a base dual motor (not the performance dual motor)? I have a quad motor R1S ordered (slated for Jan / Feb 2024 delivery) - $92k I was told a performance dual motor (available 2023) - $91k So only $1k difference in my case.

    Was it difficult to get a charging station? I’m asking because we usually go to Mammoth on busy weekends / holidays like President’s Day weekend.

    I have an R1S ordered and was wondering about charging between LA to Mammoth as this a one of the trips we make several times a year. Has anyone made the trip from LA to Mammoth? Where did you charge en route and how difficult was it logistically.
