Looks great! I’m ordering some today. I hope they hold up thru automatic car washes.
How long did it take you to put them on? Were they easy to line up?
I wouldn’t assume the issue is entirely “fixed” in the latest version. My theory is that there were multiple things causing 12v drain which could ultimately lead to 12v failure. They may have addressed some or all of those root causes. The release notes were not specific enough to tell.
Mine was great. Showed up on time for delivery in Park City. Delivery specialist walked me through setting things up then we went for a drive. No sound would come out of the speakers once he set everything up for me, so we opened a service ticket on that. It eventually fixed itself after it...
Any company who would not consider someone who’s put down $1,000 for their product a “customer” needs to rethink their definition of “customer”. I hope Rivian doesn’t share your definition.
Accessory availability has not been slowing down deliveries. They are simply delivering without them and shipping the accessories later. My charger arrived UPS the same day as my truck. My crossbars arrived about a week later. Still waiting on all weather floor mats (as well as wristband key).
.19 didn’t seem to improve things for me. Was losing 6 miles per day before, and lost 9 miles in 36 hours after the update. Time to play with some other settings (proximity, PaaK) to see if that improves things.
.19 didn’t seem to help my phantom drain at all. I was losing about 6 miles per days before, and after the update have lost 9 miles in the past 36 hrs. Pretty much on par. I’ve not turned proximity off or disabled PaaK, so plan to try that on this next round to see if that improves things.
$0.09/KWh for me on a standard rate plane. I could get $0.08 offpeak, but that would raise my peak rate to $0.12. Not sure that would actually save me money since I don’t drive all that much.
He’s been pretty clear he’s NOT advocating for doing this. In fact, he’s directly saying your shouldn’t do it. I believe his last post is saying the reason to not do it is because it’s a code violation, not because it’s inherently dangerous. Some folks might say any code violation is...
Yeah, I found it interesting that they broke out what all makes up the 7.15% sales tax for the truck, but not the accessories. It’s the first time I’d seen something that showed where all the sales tax revenue goes. The other interesting thing it that they seem to be collecting tax based on...
Got mine yesterday as well. Haven’t driven it or monitored phantom drain since installing though. Will report back if I notice any issues or positive changes.
To me that open space in the footwell is hard to access for larger items when you have the cup holders out. I would have preferred a more organized closed console there for smaller stuff. By no means a deal killer for me though. I’ll make it work.
My 2015 Tesla S was similarly configured...
And all of that is well documented and itemized once your 8step process opens. No surprises at delivery unless you don’t take the time to read what’s listed in your 8 step.
All that being said, they somehow overcharged me by $3.47. It was caught after I’d sent the wire for the incorrect...
I’ve got some striping effect on the hood of my launch green R1T. It’s only visible in direct sunlight and almost looks like a buffer was run across it in a zigzag but not overlapping pattern. You really have to look for it to see it, but I’m gonna ask the service guys about it when it’s in...
