When I met RJ at the Atlanta event back in 2019, he specifically mentioned that his wife's feedback on the design (we both had young kids are were driving Pacifica hybrids at the time) was that it had to fit 3 car seats across.
Seeing all the questions, when I finally get my R1S (May/June, hopefully?) maybe I'll just do a live stream a couple of times a week and take questions for anyone here then. Do it in real time.
I usually go up 575 but yes, I agree. It's a corridor I travel pretty regularly and round trip is going to be just beyond the 316 mile range - or closer to it than I'm comfortable, especially if it's going to sit a few days while I'm in the back country. I need a dependable fast charger, ideally...
Cherokee / Robbinsville would be excellent as that's the route I normally take vs. Gatlinburg on the N/W side. The maps I've seen lacked a lot of detail. Has something more been released or you're just speculating based off the super high level maps?
I don't know that it was love lost, but they definitely focused on the R1T and made it the first priority at the expense of the R1S for the time being.

R1S LE pre order holder since Dec 2018. Like you guys - dying to see more info on the R1S. The R1T pictures and videos have been awesome but I look forward to seeing things that are specific to my order. Especially since my delivery window is May-June!

Seeing the compressor port in those pictures reminds me... any word on where the hose goes on the R1S? My understanding is that it goes in the gear tunnel door in the R1T. The R1S doesn't have the gear tunnel so where does it get stored? Has anyone seen or heard that?
Because I knew people would start asking...

I'd like to be able to filter or prefer. I get a CCS charger is a CCS charger. But I also get that for those with a membership (whatever that ends up looking like?) that using a Rivian charger could be free. I've also seen significant variances between the charging speed from one location to...
