I always thought the lightning would be good for plumbing and HVAC companies that service less than 100 miles/day. No oil changes, don’t have to give out gas cards, etc..but I was wrong so who knows what market exists for full-size EV trucks.
I am not sure an EREV will solve the towing problem. Maybe ford can figure it out

@gerrylum any chance gen 1 gets lane stay on all roads? The car recognizes lanes. As long as RIVN does not block comma.ai I am OK but seems like lane stay could be possible but there is obviously more tech that I do not know how it works.
I am beginning to think comma is a gift to Gen1 owners for early adoption. I really thought I would have lane stay and ACC on all roads in 2023. But glad to help the comma community.
Sadly america has prioritized widening roads in an attempt to relieve traffic congestion. I personally drive 2 miles to work. 90% of the time I should ride a bike. However there are no safe bike routes to make this happen. Hopefully municipalities will support more efforts for micromobility
Keep me updated. Hopefully an issue addressed 4x qualifies for warranty work.
Originally I wanted this car for 10+ years but I may only keep for the warranty period unless rivianCare is offered in La.
in a country that keeps building more interstates than bike lanes and mass transit, what is the future for micromobility? is the goal to get cars off the road, people out of mass transit, or just something fun to get around? E-bikes/scooters for now provide transportation faster than walking...
So dumb of Rivian. there is no service centers between Houston and Atlanta. Provide a little DIY to those in the service desert. Mobile service has been nice but doing things on my own is also nice
