I just installed the update and can say that it adjusts based on the suspension height you are in (aka, won't lower if you are at max height more than needed for leveling!). Fantastic job by the engineers at Rivian!

The mounting bolts didn't work, which is why I went with the carriage bolts (from local hardware store).
I have attached it, but not used it yet. I did put 2.5" riser mounts on the bars that attach with 3/8" carriage bolts to the crossbars to give a bit more clearance. I also bought some RV levelers and have 2 recovery boards for my next outing to see if that plus the air suspension height will...
I think I have you beat - I was on my honeymoon for 2 weeks, the day we got home, we took the R1T out to get dog food, and the hood latch warning came on when we tried to come home...called service, as it was in turtle mode (13 mph limit). I tried everything they asked, but the hood would not...
Just got mine out of service for the hood latch, and they removed my panels (after we had discussed the best thing to do while waiting for the repair/fix), and the service manager told me all the new trucks had the fixed tannau, but he wasn't sure what they changed, or when existing owners would...
Mine is at the service center now for the hood latch issue (replaced) and they gave me the option of fully closing the tannau or removing the slats entirely until the new design is available, and I choose to remove them (they stopped working the 3rd day I had my R1T), as I haven't been able to...
That's good to hear. Mine started coming apart on day 3, with the first use of the bed, a small load of cardboard to take to recycling...was happy to have the tannau to not worry about it blowing out, then when opening, it all went wrong about 2/3 open. :-(. 3rd from last panel got stuck...
