I mean, kinda remarkable that they reached out proactively when they thought they might have a potential option for you. Sucks you weren't able to make it work, given the delay, and waited that long to reach them. Sounds like they should have been clearer in the message that it had a short...
I don't know. I may be a neanderthal and out of touch with the needs and desires of the many, but having lived through the nerfing of the Mustang and other cars in the mid 70s in response to the oil and inflation crises, it sure sucked the joy out of car ownership. I don't think any...
Honestly, I believe that there may be a demographic or generational issue at play in the response. If this were a channel predominately skewing more millennial or Gen Z, the reception may have been somewhat less hostile. Expectations and animosity around social media branding and income...
Thanks for the update (and sorry I only just saw it). When you say your range on these is about as expected, can you clarify what you were expecting? Slightly better / slightly worse / about the same as the ~274 miles anticipated with the stock 20" Scorpion ATs?
Update to the update: All the Austin Shop R1S's are now gone — zero currently showing in stock (19 R1Ts now though, 9 of which are new since I last looked). So assuming that means the R1S's were sold, congrats to their new owners and Rivian for moving them!
Wow, love these. I stick to sports photography and have never really gotten the hang of outdoor or landscape shots. Clearly you were working with someone who has! Also love the way the 20' AT wheels and tires were captured. They look fierce!
Quick update in ATX: It appears the Blue R1S (I started calling her "Blue Steel" every time I refreshed) has been adopted, or at least is no longer on the page. So we're down to two!
If you visit your online account on rivian.com, you will have a green banner across the top of your screen providing access. There should also be an email in your inbox, but for me at least, the banner appeared before the email. If neither of those, then I'm afraid you are still playing the...
Not that I have anything against shopping malls—the more places to charge the merrier. But one would think that Big Bend and the Hill Country in ATX would be particularly appealing Rivian adventure kick-off locales.
I would have bit on the Limestone / OC in a heartbeat as well. I ordered Glacier White but really love that chameleon Limestone color in person. Congrats!
There's also the thread about a Rivian in the Cayman Islands that's now non-LTE accessible after AT&T asked Rivian to cut the eSIM's access, or something along those lines.
