I'm going to have to completely disagree with you. I think maybe your car is still applying regenerative braking when you press on the brake, even if you turn off the automatic regenerative braking (when you let off the throttle).
From basic physics it makes no sense that recapturing kinetic...
I don’t think that is right, considering regenerative braking. The effect of drag on efficiency increases by velocity squared. From most to least efficient it would be city driving without any stopping, city driving with stop and go, then highway constant speed.
edit: if that were true why...
You would set this in the vehicle app or in-vehicle display. As others mentioned the EVSE doesn't know. Some EVSE's will let you adjust the charge rate through an app, such as Wallbox.
Ford is doing something similar for Bronco. They have a Bronco park in Central Texas that looks pretty amazing. It would be awesome to pick up our Rivians at the factory with a tour and off road experience.

Do we know what kind of offices they are putting in Austin? That is, what roles or departments would be housed there? I had a conversation with a recruiter that fizzled out when I said I couldn't relocate out of Austin, having just moved back last year.
This is what I did a couple of months ago, specifically because it will hold value. From what my dealer told me you may have a hard time finding a 4WD on a lot today, but hopefully that was just sales BS.
He said in the video posted above, his Wh/mi is almost 500 with the RTT (on that trip?). I guess it could be other factors such as the weather and elevation. 20% range hit seems more realistic. Agreed with your point about R1T having less impact than Model Y or R1S.
I was confused by how he said it was a 50% hit and they'll be driving slow. Didn't catch where he said that was for 70mph, but that does make sense for it to be 50% at highway speeds and 20% at 40mph.
Conclusion is the same though, RTT is a huge impact making it impractical. This makes a nice...
Cutting his range in half with the RTT! I was looking into getting a nice RTT, but after watching this video I was convinced the advantages aren't worth it, and that's before considering such a big range impact. Maybe it's not as significant on the R1T since it's tucked behind the cab.
Edit...
Is anyone considering Goose Gear drawers and/or sleep platform for their R1S?
I'm looking to get some for my current vehicle and I'm thinking the drawers, which are the bulk of the cost, should be able to move over to the R1S.
Goose Gear told me the R1T/R1S are on their Radar, I'm just waiting...
