I have had three interactions with the Atlanta SC in the past two and a half years and have no complaints with either the timeliness or level of service. That said, it would be nice for Rivian to invest in more SC’s as the number of vehicles sold increases.
When I drove a Tesla, the forums over there confirmed this fact over and over - almost every time a newbee put on new tires. I experienced the 20% reduction phenomenon when I put the new Pirellis on my T.
If even a percentage of Tesla SC's are available, that in itself is a boon to over the road travel. It's pretty easy to go to tesla.com's charging page and filter to available-with-adapter NACS sites.
OEM set lasted 17.6k for me. Second set is at 19k with probably another 5-8k left. Two things I did between set 1 and set 2: I got an alignment with my local tire store at "A-P low" setting which I drive all of the time. Alignment guy said that I need to be aware that the suspension geometry...
Can I disagree? Traded my MYLR for an R1S when Tesla SC became available. Just drove a 1200 mile road trip to San Antonio TX and used Tesla SC exclusively using my A2Z adapter. Seamless. And I saved at least one charge stop or maybe two because the R1S has a larger battery and longer legs.
Many roads in WNC are curvy as they snake through valleys and the curve event is very frustrating. It sees that curves to the right showing the guardrail ahead are worse offenders than lest hand curves where the guardrail disappears. Anticipating the behavior, I keep constant pressure on the...
I have an early Gen1 T and a lye Gen1 S and both vehicles are MUCH improved after 19.04. In fact, I was seriously considering posting a message to Rivian engineering to stop the tweaks because 19.04 has hit the mark.
Building an automobile from scratch isn't an easy thing. (If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.) Rivian has managed to come out with a top tier product and is working hard to improve the Gen1 vehicle while getting a better grip on per-vehicle expenses. Kudos to the leadership and team! RJ...
I’m traveling through LA on 10 next month and am curious about the Lake Charles RAN. It has shown under construction for some time now. Anyone know what the status is?
