Update: Tesla Gen 2 (w/ wired pairing): it's just broken. Seriously broken.
So: I updated completely to Gen 3 Tesla UHC + standard Gen 3.
Physical HW: works flawlessly, easy to insert (Rivian), much happier.
Power sharing: it's still broken! The good news is that this is - still - a SW issue...
I have both Lectron and AtoZ : both are designed to be resilient outdoors, so the only downside I have seen is they are a B :-) T to insert (extra rubber seals). I now use a Tesla UHC (updating other thread). As easy to insert as a standard J1772.

EV Stocks down, the market doesn't seem to understand *renting* an EV (in a random unknown place) just about skips every benefit of *owning* an EV ... also that Hertz bites, but that is purely...
I must be missing something: these clamps just suck (yes -- no T-slot HW included) : first, the clamps are assembled backwards from the instructions - which may not matter even though one must place them the opposite direction on the rack. The problem is the entire belt assembly inside, which...

See my note above: I think so/partially, as if I have both vehicles plugged in (not charging) and THEN initiate a charge, they both charge @ 20 as expected. It could very will be that the Rivian is just too slow to notice the amperage change request, the TWC says "f--k off", and turns off. On...
These are gen 2. I ha
That's right: Gen 2, uses twisted pair to talk to each other. I tried both brands: Lectron (48amp) and A2Z (80amp), although the latter I didn't try in every combo (e.g. intentionally cause the fault).
For sure, both exhibit a rather odd behavior even when charging is...
Hi all, I am wondering if anyone out there has had this problem, and how to fix:
- My Rivian will not charge @ 40amps, the max amount (via din setting) in my Tesla wall charger (Gen 2)
- It will choose 32amps when plugged in all by itself, BUT:
my particular setup:
- I have Two Gen 2 Tesla wall...
Just as a baseline, here's a 2016 quote from the CEO of Fiat concerning the Model 3: "If Elon Musk "can show me that the car will be profitable at that price, I will copy the formula, add the Italian design flair and get it to the market within 12 months," - Sergio Marchionne
I was perusing the user guide and found I have an under seat pocket. Yea! They say your can store registration in there, etc. I opened it and: while I get sunglasses, the gap in the back of this uncovered pivoting tray makes me think registration ... or crossbar keys... or anything small/flat...
Tesla is the only one touting full autopilot [Beta]. This boils down to a fundamental question: pretend their autopilot was much better than it is right now: is it OK for it to cause even a single accident (even in the hands of a bad driver), or does one gauge success by a decrease in overall...
I've done a grand total of 2, this one would not update (repeatedly), until I disconnected the charger. Then it worked immediately. This is Tesla wall charger with a Tesla -> J1772 adapter.
Do NOT have it plugged in (plenty of charge). Their notes say "do not be connected to a SC" ... but that appears to be incorrect. It simply will fail immediately if you are plugged in at all (L1/2/or 3).
I should note that those who preconfigured with manual tonneau already paid for it. And have a car. With no tonneau. That was a surprise to me at pickup -- I was not notified in any way of missing parts, before and even after. Paid = the clock is literally ticking.
If they are quick about it...
