My only caveat to this is Driver+. I know that Teslas don't always play nice when trying to use Autopilot with an obstruction back there. You may have to "drive dumb" if you're using a hitch basket.
As someone who will be coming from a Performance Model X, the R1S is a great value. In my case, we've got a toddler, a 30lb Beagle, and a 65lb Coonhound. Space in the Model X goes fast, thanks to the hatchback body style.
Sure, sleek is sexy and all, but I can't wait for a boxy...
This warms my heart.
In the next 6 months, I'll be moving to Maine with our Model X (I'm already in MA, so I have a good idea what to expect), and whenever the "Max Pack" R1S plans are announce, I'll plop my money down.
Makes me happy to see that it's being tested in cold weather.
