I also would like to change down to my 20in wheels for the Chicago winter (from 22). The CS rep said no mobile service appointments in Chicago any time soon and that he would look into allowing an OTA update after i did the swap myself.
As already reported here he came back said no-go - that's...
Thanks for the input. Here's what I used. Steamer and trim tool to remove plastic. Mild citrus type Goo Gone for remaining glue. I avoided the stronger solvent based adhesive removers (like Goof Off in a metal can) for fear of discoloring the plastic.
I’m the original poster. I’ve had 2 cameras replaced now for water in the lens. It took longer than expected for both because water traveled up and rusted the wiring harness.
I asked them if there was a lack of sealant somewhere and they said no just bad batches of cameras.
The dead pedal on my R1T shipped with tons of fragments of protective plastic that are very difficult to remove - thin plastic and lots of adhesive. The delivery team obviously couldn’t get it off either.
This has been there for 20,000 miles and I just got around to the milder goo gone and a...
In Illinois no one ever refers to what township they are in. Multiple towns and cities are in each township.
When I search for things like a post office, it tells me the township, but not the town or city. This is odd. I have never seen this in an online map.
In the above mentioned search...
So far my auto cover has worked ok. But now there is a rock stuck under it that creates a new scratch the length of the cover every time i open it.
I haven't been able to find any threads or videos on opening up the cap. Just pry? Are there fasteners?
Nice write-up.
Was there a primary charging provider that you utilized in that part of the country? EA? Chargepoint?
What kind of charging rates were you finding? Hopefully in the 150 + range - I imagine any 50KW chargers would be painful having to stop that frequently..
Thanks for this informative post. Can you comment on the tongue weight? I realize moving the position of the car changes the tongue weight, but how did you determine the ideal weight? The maximum tongue weight for the truck? Or were you somehow able to determine that the weight of the car...
From what I can tell the Rivian charger handle on my wall charger in my garage only locks during actual charging when the car is locked - not when charging and unlocked, and not when locked and finished charging. Is that what others experience?
This is different from my Tesla charger handle...
Ive never used a dash cam. So will the software rewrite over the oldest footage continuously? Or will we have to manually dump when the disk gets full?
If there is a constant rewrite you might not have to get such a big memory card correct? Just pull it after an "incident"?
Thank you. Have you adjusted them? I unfortunately only brought one today. Did you find any sources for how to do it? If not I will just wing it and am sure i can figure it out on the other one.
I am having the same problem and am sitting in the SC right now. The advisor said that the rubber boot by the bar latch mechanism can be removed and there are a few allen screws which can be used to adjust something like the pitch/yaw/roll of the mechanism.
He said sometimes it takes a few...
If you are in the west suburbs the best automated car wash is Fullers in Countryside as you may be aware. Their employees drive your car through the wash. And they do a significant vacuum before and window wash after.
As and aside, I recently took my Jeep Wrangler (with steel bumpers thank...
